DoubleTree by Hilton La Torre is a 5* hotel located in incomparable surroundings and it is the perfect place to rest from stress, celebrate any kind of event or practice your golf handicap, thanks to an excellent 18 holes golf course. We have 133 luxury rooms with the latest technology, a balcony with amazing views of the golf course and large bathrooms. Our Pure Spa is a peaceful and comfortable oasis. It has a relaxing circuit with a heated pool, a sauna, a steam bath and multi sensation showers. The wellness area has 5 treatment rooms where you can indulge in a wide selection of treatments with natural products. The fitness area has a full gym equipped with the latest cardiovascular and muscle building machinery. Our gastronomic offer is based on the use of quality and fresh local products. Each dish is carefully designed by our Chef. All our bars & restaurants have an outdoor seating where you can have your meal while you enjoy the spectacular views.
Fantastic stay
Reviewed By Stewart CThis hotel is about an hour from Alicante airport so a bit out of the way. It’s contained in an almost gated town with a security box at the entrance to the community just off the motorway. The hotel is just a minute from here. It’s also 2 minutes walk from a few bars and restaurants at the lakefront. The hotel is situated right beside the golf course. The hotel was very quiet as it had just reopened after covid. I was checked in and upgraded to a suite with a view over the swimming pool. The room had two large sofas in the living space, separate bedroom and two bathrooms. Housekeeping service was provided every day. Selection at breakfast was one of the best I’ve seen at a Doubletree and even included a chef cooking fresh eggs. The pool bar was really handy and all staff there were excellent. It was open until around 6pm. There was also a member of staff who you could get towels from. The pool area was spotless. There’s also a really nice bar inside the hotel too serving until around 11pm. Wouldn’t hesitate to return here again!

We enjoy also a golf clinic with an excellent teacher that you can contact through the golf shop. There are not too much variety in the club restaurant menu but the quality/price is good enough. .

Bad experience especially with your employee
Reviewed By mchikochI post this complaint here because can't found a mailbox for reclamation. we were welcomed by a very professional employee who gave us the keys to the flat and explained our stay, When we received the accommodation we found that the wifi was not working and that the air conditioning was not working properly, i reported the wifi problem to the reception. As we had planned an activity in the afternoon we were away until late in the evening when we returned the wifi problem was still there and the air conditioning was not working as it only expelled not cool air. As it was late and the children were tired we decided to call the reception the next morning, as the room phone was not working either. The next day I went to the reception where I had an exchange with a male employee who didn't understand why the wifi problem had not been solved the day before, I explained to him that the most important thing was the air conditioning, he did what was necessary to send a technician quickly, finding several defects in the room, including the air conditioning, the wifi, and a deafening noise from the fridge, The technician suggest to change room, which the reception granted us, this whole procedure took at least the whole morning, when I went to the reception to ask for a compensation for the inconvenience suffered, the employee on a rather annoying and not very commercial tone told us that he had already made a gesture by proposing another flat to us and which according to his words was bigger than the one we had paid for. to our great surprise when we took possession of the new flat we realized that it was exactly the same as the one we had the day before! ( (old room 11013 new one 19021) having no desire to waste any more time and above all to have a confrontation with your employee at the reception desk we were happy to settle down to finish our stay and leave not without a certain bitterness and a taste of a wasted stay. This letter of dissatisfaction does not reflect all your employees but only the person with whom we had the confrontation, it does not reflect at all the excellence and professionalism that we expect to have in this kind of prestigious establishment that is yours.

A total embarrassment
Reviewed By Mermaid2727Where do I start? We pull up in the taxi and the hotel seems fairly new and quite clean. Thats it. The only positive part of the holiday. We had to wait an hour and a half to check in because the "room was being cleaned" to look behind the reception and find the cleaner having a leisurely lunch (we arrived at 5pm!). Once the receptionist had to run around and sort this out (clearly they're not used to people complaining) we eventually got into our room. Room was large with big bathroom and air con with a view of the road. Dinner was ridiculous as we had been told it was at 8.30 to find they serve dinner at 9.30. Barley anything to eat but finding a creamy mushroom dish seemed promising until we actually took a bite. Tasted like dish water. Don't eat anything with milk or what seems to be a creamy sauce. If you're a coffee lover, bring your own as whatever powdered milk they use in the coffee machine is vile. Breakfast was plain, but dinner is when the entertainment starts. Not enough seating for all so people stand and wait for you to finish, food isn't enough for everyone and to top it off there are only 3 staff to cater for over 100 people. So don't expect a drink! Pool is ok if you like the local children screaming and diving around you. No consideration for others let alone an understanding of special awareness. Don't expect the parents to speak to them, they're just as bad. We thought of a bright idea by going into the spa (to get away from the nightmare children) to find it packed with children diving into a jacuzzi. Wonderful. Just what you need when you want to relax. All in all this has been the worst holiday we've ever had!
