Over the years, my wife and I have stayed at several Best Western hotels during our travels from coast to coast. In our opinion, the Best Western in St. Francisville, Louisiana, is one of the best--for several reasons. First of all, it's all about location. Located at 6756 US Highway 61, it is a short drive to the heart of St. Francisville and all of the wonderful tourist attractions in the surrounding area. Constructed in 2011, the three-floor building has 63 air conditioned guest rooms, an outdoor swimming pool, fitness center, 24-hour business center and free self parking. We chose to stay at the hotel shortly after it opened, during our first visit to St. Francisville, and we were very satisfied. So it was an easy choice for a return visit. We chose a standard room with a king-sized bed, refrigerator, microwave, bathroom/shower, 32-inch LCD TV, work table/desk, iron and ironing board, coffee-tea maker, complimentary internet access, dry cleaning and laundry service, complimentary continental breakfast and complimentary newspapers. The room was clean and housekeeping kept it that way. It is the only hotel of its kind in the neighborhood.

Experience antebellum splendor in this circa 1796 National Historic Register plantation home renowned for its mystery, history and intrigue. Our recently opened Restaurant 1796 is a beautiful blend of the old and the new, centered around open hearth cooking on site. Book a tour, stay the night and enjoy tradition with a twist in a modern menu of local produce and clever cocktails crafted on site.
My family and I had dinner at 1796 followed by the night tour. It was an absolute blast! Lots of history and plenty of spookie stories. The flowers are beautiful and make for great pictures. Would visit again when in New Orleans

This hotel was priced well, had very nice continental breakfast, overlooked a pond with wildlife. The hotel overall seemed dated and in need of updating. The parking lot is well lit and feels safe but is full of bumps and potholes and in desperate need of repair.

Our bed and breakfast is a newer facility across the pond from the mansion. The upstairs rooms have a view of the mansion and pond. The downstairs rooms are built into a hill and offer a view of the pasture. The mansion is open to the public for tours.
A beautiful plantation including a tour by owners who provide a thorough historical explanation for guests at their excellent on site B&B. It's in a picturesque rural setting on 300 acres near the Mississippi River just north of St Francisville, LA which was an 1800s commercial river port like Natchez and Vicksburg, MS.

We stayed here after a long day of driving on the way to the Barn Hill Animal Preserve. The staff was very accommodating, the room was nice and clean, and the pool was great. We took the kids swimming after we arrived and it’s great because you can order food while at the pool. We would definitely stay again.

Lamplighter is centrally located to all the historic sites and restaurants in St. Francisville, LA. In addition, the property is very quiet with a beautiful courtyard. My one bedroom suite was spacious and clean. The kitchenette had a clean refrigerator/freezer and stove for eating in. In addition, there are nice and free washers and dryers on site if you need them. The Lamplighter Staff was friendly and responsive to my needs. I highly recommend Lamplighter Suites for a business or vacation stay. David Greenwood
