I’d stay elsewhere.. use your money better

I’ll start with what people looking at reviews actually care about. Cleanliness.. every single towel given to us was stained. Washed but stained. Still absolutely gross to me, I don’t want to see someone else’s brown marks, mascara etc on anything. When we requested more towels, we had to wait an hour and a half because they had none. I’ve never heard of such a thing especially at such an empty hotel. As soon as we walked in the room, it smelt like cigarettes and mildew. I had to shower because I felt like I smelt like it. Floor definitely wasn’t vacuumed between stays, food, crumbs etc on floor. Who knows what else wasn’t cleaned properly between stays… nothing in the bathroom looked up to my expectation especially with COVID going on. Appearance is huge… must have been a crack or damage to the bathtub, that was just slabbed over didn’t even try to make it look decent, same with ceilings and walls. Made me feel like I was in a sketchy motel, the rusty looking mold on the ceiling light in the bathroom added to that effect. Now this wouldn’t have mattered AS much to me if they didn’t up charge me almost $60 more from what I booked online. I originally wanted to book at Spring Hill next door but they were $175/night, I could get Holiday Inn with a discount at $107/night so that was a no brainer. Reviews were about the same. Got there to check in and after having me sign in they wanted to “make me aware” that my nightly fee was going up to $165/night. I felt taken advantage of and very angry to say the least then to see the room condition made it worse. $165+/night for that? No thanks, not again.

Disappointing Service and Subpar Room

Reviewed By Wrktraveler

I would avoid this hotel if possible. I’m a Marriott Titanium member who has travelled throughout the pandemic for work and stayed EXCLUSIVELY at Marriotts to retain my Titanium status. When I checked in on the app, I selected late check-out, which is guaranteed for Titanium members. I needed the room to get some work done until the early afternoon. Housekeeping tried to chase me out around 11. The front desk called me and told me I needed to vacate the room, despite my elite status and were not very accommodating. I left the hotel and expressed my disappointment with the front desk and showed them how the app even showed a 2 pm checkout which was better than nothing. But despite this, they didn’t want to help. In addition to this, the bed was uncomfortable and the sheets itchy. The AC unit blew warm air for awhile making it hard to sleep. The wall in the shower had a barely repaired crack in it. Disappointing stay and treatment towards a guest who has stayed with Marriott from the onset and all throughout the pandemic. I won’t be back.

Stay someplace else!!

Where should I begin? Upon walking in, noticed all of the carpets were very dirty and the place smelled like smoke. In my room the carpets had clearly not been vacuumed in a long time, all of the furniture was dusty and dirty, sticky marks on the glass end table, floor in the bathroom had dirt, some kind of stain coming down the side of the shower, ceiling tiles were stained, paint chipping on walls, bedding was clearly old and had stains, towels had stains. Door did not lock properly without fiddling with it. I complained to the manager about the floors and although it appears they did a quick vacuum, they completely ignored the floors in the bathroom! I would have left and found another place but someone else booked it for me as I was traveling, so made the best of it. It was not worth the price and they should be ashamed to be putting people into these rooms.

I want to be fair. This was not for me, but may be ok for others. I didn't feel safe. Pros: Clean Cons: 50% run down and needing repair, outside littered with cigarette butts, ill-fitting door that didn't feel safe, outside entry, dark (and I mean dark) and depressing room. For the price, I was really disappointed.
