Reviewed By steved1We stopped at the Hotel Le Gardon in Collias for one night when visiting Pont du Gard. I felt we had to drive down a lot back roads to find the hotel which is at the end of the lane. The hotel itself looked good from outside with plenty of parking. Unfortunate for us it was a Monday night and the restaurant was closed so we had to drive into Collias to find somewhere to eat, it wasn’t really a walk away especially on a dark evening. The rooms were clean and well-furnished although a little on the smaller side. We did however take advantage of the swimming pool as it was a very hot afternoon, it was very pleasant. It is a family run hotel and the staff were very friendly.

Quiet, comfortable and attractive
Reviewed By arnoudw246I stayed here for three nights with my wife and 3 older kids in the double room ‘Leonie’. The rooms are spacious and cozy, beds are comfortable, bath room is large and nice designed. Every morning Agnes serves an excellent breakfast with fresh bread, croissants, fruit, eggs and orange juice. It is served in the beautiful and shady garden. Agnes is very friendly and provides useful info on restaurants and canoe trips (she can book it for you with discount). The pool is nice with several sun beds. Location of la Maison is excellent, in a silent neighborhood and 5 minute walk from village centre (1 bar, 3-4 restaurants) and 10 minute walk from canoe starting point. I would visit this place again!

Reviewed By Livingthedream999The exterior of the hotel is an old stone building that has been in the village forever and offers no hint at the sophisticated modern interior. The hotel offered all on the modern comforts. We were able to have dinner there one night and it was beautifully prepared and presented. Jean Christof at the front desk was most helpful in preparing a light dinner for us when all the nearby restaurants were closed.

Relaxing & fun rental property!!
Reviewed By francaiseNorthwestFor the second year running, we have stayed here in one of the 8 gites which Line & Pierre rent out. All gites share the pool with 4 allocated loungers for each gite. There is a ping-pong table, fussball table & swings to keep the children occupied in the shade + 2 boules pitches for everyone to show off their skills in!! The gites are really well equipped (dishwasher, tv + everything you would need in the kitchen) & each have 2 bedrooms. Terraces, where you will no doubt have all your meals, all face in various different directions so nobody is overlooked by anyone else. The owners are lovely and helped by their daughter Cathy. She looks after their facebook page too. Pierre has a large shed full of mountain bikes and offers to take you out twice per week (at 8.30am! before the heat picks up) to cycle through the vineyards in the neighbouring areas - very pleasant. Well worth a visit as there is really loads to see and do in the area: Uzes, Pont du Gard & Gorges du Gardon to name but a few.

Un séjour plein de charme !
Reviewed By CaroT89Nous avons passé un très agréable moment dans cette maison pleine de charme et authentique, tenue par Béatrice. Notre chambre était très accueillante et confortable (grand lit et très bonne literie) et avait une petite terrasse privée. Un bonheur à l'heure du petit déjeuner et de l'apéro. Les restaurants étant fermés, nous avons profité de la table d'hôtes pour deux diners (dont l'un partagé avec Béatrice). Gourmands, équilibrés, à base de produits locaux et de saison, ces repas ont été très appréciés ! Nous étions hors du temps, loin de tout et c'était magique. La région est superbe et de belles balades sont très facilement accessibles depuis la maison. Nous ne pouvons que vous conseiller de faire une halte dans ce lieu singulier des gorges du Gardon ! En tout cas nous, nous n'hésiterons pas à revenir :)

Reviewed By iamwill2016A wonderful little apartment located a short distance from the beautiful river bank. The apartment is well kept, clean and a pleasure to stay in, perfect for a couple looking for a quiet holiday in the sun. The town itself is quiet and picturesque with shops for stocking the fridge and staying in, but also some lovely restaurants in the village which are well worth a visit. Cannot be more highly recommended.

Reviewed By Sylvette BBien que nous nous soyons mis d'accord sur notre heure d'arrivée,(1/2 heure avant celle-ci), et que nous ayons rappelé en arrivant(perdus,car très mal signalisé),il n'y avait personne pour nous accueillir...Le logement est correct et suffisamment propre. MAIS!!!, pas de wifi(ni, d'ailleurs de serviettes de toilette)contrairement à ce qui est inscrit sur "booking.com"); par ailleurs, pas de casserole...juste une sauteuse, mais ni cuillère en bois ni spatule(revêtement anti adhésif)..Le lendemain, on essaie le micro-onde;pas de notice...pas de plat adapté...pas de cloche..!!Dans la salle de bain-wc, pas de rideau à la fenêtre, qui donne dans le "jardin" d'un autre gite et sur une fenêtre des propriétaires.Quand au jardin, la photo est fidèle: de la terre et un grillage, comme pour les poules!!!Comme on avait déjà payé par internet, les propriétaires ne se sont pas déplacés pour notre départ(nous avons essayé de les joindre, ce qui n'est possible ,nous ont-ils dit, que par texto,bien qu'il me semble que les propriétaires vivent dans la maison mitoyenne N.B C'est la première fois que je rédige un avis négatif sur une location....
