Beware or the expensive cleaning fee. Keys are not in the house.
Reviewed By 96visahI made a 60€ non-refundable booking, The I realised they'll charge 500Nok or about 50€ cleaning fee per stay. So in this case an economical one night room became expensive. Being frustrated I went elsewhere. Now some weeks later they are debiting my credit card 111€ for this 60€ room + cleaning the unused room. The information about this add-on fee was on small print and almost impossible to see when booking. It is there if you are really really careful. I've been promised a 50€ refundfor excess billing, but in my humble opinion this is not the way to run a hotel and deal with customers. Maybe we foreigners are just stupid gullible tourists? I'd go elsewhere if I were You.. Ps. The keys are not in the house, and the distance is longish if you are not with a car.

Reviewed By karinb601We have stayed at the apartments above the cafe, and we find that they are spacious, clean, and well-equipped. The skibus stops right outside the cafe, and at the end of the day skiing you just take the piste down. Check the cafe’s website on beforehand for parties and avoid rhem as they can be noisy ?

Nice resort
Reviewed By Mia AThis was a very nice resort! The staff were really nice and helpful. The apartment was big and roomy. The stay was rather expensive. The apartment was not clean. The showerdrain was full of hair and it was rather disgusting. The rest of the apartment seemed clean, but who knows how clean it actually was... The resort is little far from Geilo center so it was impossible for us to walk downtown with two small children.

Basic appartments, central location
Reviewed By LivontopWe stayed in apartment 3 - 6beds, however only two bed rooms. Last bed is in a open space on the loft. A small kitchen area and living room gives a practical apartment. No luxury, but you have the most essentials covered. The bed are not very comfortable, hard edges. The Sauna was also at loft. We didnt test it. You may hire bed linen and towels for an extra fee. Cleaning is also an extra fee. The location is in the city center of Hemsedal and close to supermarket, bar and restaurants. Recommend Hemsedal cafe and the tapas bar at Skogstad Hotel. It is a free bus going every 20min to the ski slopes. If you bring a car it is parking lot outside the apartment.

Reviewed By TraductoraWe spent 3 nights here. This is an excellent location for exploring both Gol and the surrounding mountains. There are several hiking paths just down the road. I was also pleased to discover a lack of mosquitos. We stayed in an apartment that is attached to the barn. All 5 of us fit comfortably in bunk beds in the one bedroom. The toilet and shower are divided into two rooms, which was handy in the mornings. The shower had good water pressure and didn’t leak. The kitchen is fully equipped with a proper cooker and a fridge. Some basic utensils are missing and some of the plates were chipped. We didn’t mind about that, as the owner charges a very affordable rate to stay here. The kitchen is quite snug, but has seating for 3-4 people, and there is a decently sized living room with a TV next to it. So once we had learned to spread ourselves between the two rooms, we were comfortable. There is poor wifi in the apartment, but this was clearly communicated by the owner. There is a good signal in front of the reception, a short walk away. We were very pleased with our stay, and would certainly return. I’d venture that this is some of the best value for money you can get in Gol.

Great location - but terrible place to stay
Reviewed By Christin KGreat location in the centre of Hemsedal nearby shops, ski centre and restaurants. The apartment was for 4 people according to the ad, but only with one bedroom with windows. Extremely noisy 24/7, either from ventilation systems, noisy guests or nightclub. Rubbish and vomit outside the windows (we stayed in the basement....) daily which had not been cleaned up during the day or our stay. Expensive apartment to rent and certainly not worth the price. May be a good place on weekdays. This place is not recommended!
