Considering how rustic Biliran is, this is a gem of an accommodation
Reviewed By ilocanotravellerThere is not much to choose from, in terms of accommodation, in Naval. While I might not even consider Marvin’s Seaside Inn as a place to stay in an urbanized city like Cebu or Bacolod, in rustic and rural Biliran, the Inn is a gem. The ground floor and reception felt like being in a bed and breakfast. There is one long dining table for guests to eat. In fairness, the breakfast options were palatable. I stayed 2 nights so I got to try 2 dishes—corned beef and boneless bangus. I finished both dishes. They don’t have brewed coffee, so I’m glad I brought coffee with me. The room I got was probably the best because my window overlooked the Biliran Strait. The room was nothing fancy, but the basic necessities were addressed. The bed was comfortable and had soft, white, clean sheets, which surprised me because inns of these kind around the Philippines usually skimp on bed sheets. The towels were also surprisingly of good quality. The aircon was cold and the shower provided hot water, so thumbs up as well. My only negative is the bathroom emitted a foul smell. I opened the window to let the room breath. I was unable to test the wifi as I depended on LTE data on my phone. Over all, I enjoyed my stay in Marvin’s Seaside Inn, considering the context of the location.

Reviewed By Lucas_NLRoom without windows, felt like a prison. Make sure you have an itinerary ready at arrival (rent a scooter) cause personnel had no knowledge of activities in the surroundings. Beds and bathroom were fine.

Reviewed By steven sNapo resort organised my habal habal to Ol-og and to pick me up on my return.The habal rider found a boatman for me. The boat ( small bianka/2 pax) trip around 20 minute from Ol-og., 1000 pesos return. I arranged to be picked up the following morning. The resort is on the sheltered side of the island. Entry to the island is 80 pesos plus 20 pesos envro fee. Cost of cottage was 1500 pesos.I had booked over 4 months in advance but the manager had no knowledge of my booking. There is only 1 sho that sells drinks and snack foods. You need to take your own food. I was shown to my cottage but given no overview of my cottage or facilities. All the cottages are concrete//timber/bamboo construction and beachfront. No key provided to lock your door. My cottage had 2 single beds and an upstairs area with nothing. I assume they fill it up with mattresses in high season when they get a group of locals sleeping over each other. No bath towel, soap, toilet paper etc provided. There was a pedestal fan. Electric operates from 5pm till morning. Lighting was dim. A basin with good running water in the main room. The separate bathroom had a flush toilet and a bucket for bathing. There are changing rooms and comfort rooms for day trippers. The balcony had a bench seat and table plus shelving areas either side. No internet. For the price a day trip would suffice or an overnight stay at best.

Reviewed By _kirbyloganrunStayed here at Fragoch and it was very nice. Our room was honeymoon suite and it was very clean and big with nice bathroom and t.v. We’re very impressed by this hotel. The air conditioner was very cool and the hotel staff was very accommodating with room service. The restaurant was just downstairs and my fiancée and I could enjoy a good selection of food and cold drinks. This hotel was in good location and I highly recommend staying here. We actually stayed here in April of 2016 and it was extremely hot soo can attest to how well the air-con worked.

Reviewed By Mario PFor the money, great place to stay. Friendly staff and walking distance to shops, cafes and markets. Only cold showers but if you shower before putting air con on all is good. Rooms up the front have a view of the street but are a little noisy.

Bunga Prime Resort is located along the coast in the village of Bunga, Municipality of Cabucgayan in Biliran province. Its about 34 kilometers away from provincial capital of Naval and can be reach by bus or van on regular route from Naval to Bunga at 8am to 5pm. The resort offers a hotel/motel of 14 different accomodating rooms with a magnificant view overlooking the blue water of Carigara Bay. An Endless magnificent site of Leyte island and Mountain view which can be seen from hotel balconies and windows. Several of our hotel balconies have great views of the swimming pool which is filled with clean and natural spring water or the opportunity to swim in the ocean to our floating house overlooking the horizon. The resort also offers a self service foreign kitchen style where guests are more than welcome to use, equip with all the appliances and cookery available to make a home cook meal.

Reviewed By CaptainsBabyBirdWe checked in for one night because we visited my family in leyte and its the only place we can stay for a night before going to tacloban the next morning. When we went there we asked the landlord there which is the available room for one night. And when she told us that the available room cost P1500 we taught its a big room but not. Its only a small room with window banger aircon, a small old t.v..and the a shower that its not working properly.. And also the room is full of mosquitoes everywhere..
