Reviewed By transamman5660Very clean , great priced ,well organized hotel that is extremely convenient. Walk across the street and you are at the beach . Walkability to many restaurants , ice cream shops , convenience stores and shops . Once we parked at the hotel we did not get back in our car until is was time to go back home . A continental breakfast with many choices served from 6:30 to 9:30 am .I definitely recommend staying here for comfort ,cleanliness and convenience .

Reviewed By RobC1127This is an affordable gem close to the beach, not on the beach but an easy walk. The beach is not crowded and the are is very cool too! Room was basic but clean and functional, pool was nice and rarely busy. The gardens around this property were absolutely immaculate, Motel 6 was far above what I had expected.

Reviewed By KatherineW1865Spent 2 nights here. The check in was easy and quick. Nice reception people. Room comfortable, but didnt see a hair dryer, glad I brought my own! Right off the freeway and close to the beach, an inexpensive place to stay ($100 per night)

Fine for a budget hotel
Reviewed By Jason SWe stayed here a night after flying in to the area and just needing a place to rest before we started our adventure the next day. Our room was clean, the check in was simple, and the room had a modern updated feel to it. You do get some noise from the highway so if you are light sleeper that could be a problem. Overall it is a budget hotel and it served the purpose of giving us a place to rest before starting our 8 day adventure in the area.

Motel 6 Carlsbad East is conveniently located off I-5 at Palomar Airport Rd. Dining and shops are nearby. Several golf courses are within 6 miles. California's Oceanside Beach is only 6 miles. Wi-Fi is available in all of our modern rooms for free.
One of my worst hotel stays ever
Reviewed By bgs123456I had a terrible experience. -The hotel was extremely dirty. We found a towel full of pubic hairs under the bed. Clearly no one had cleaned under the bed for months or years. The floor was sticky. -There was no outlet close to the beds. I had to charge my phone in the bathroom. -It was non smoking but 3 different guests were smoking just outside their room door. The smell entered our room on several occasions. -There was no shampoo or conditioner, no access to a hairdryer nor coffee maker. -I had to mail a package to the hotel, I called less than 48 hrs before my arrival. They informed me it had just arrived and they would keep it for me. When I got there no one knew anything about it. Come to find out, they had sent it back. I needed it then. It caused problems to not have it. The staff never apologized, to the contrary they blamed me for having a package sent there. -When I brought up some of these issues, the staff took no responsibility, but blamed the other staff members. The experience was so bad that we will never stay in a Motel 6 again. We stayed here to save money on parking at Legoland. Walking was up a steep hill most of the way. Not worth it. I should have paid parking and stayed at a normal hotel. This was one of my worst hotel experiences and I have been to MANY throughout my life.
