It consistently provides courteous, professional staff who are always pleasant on check in and check out. The hotel is clean, all areas from the rooms to the restaurant and function rooms. Due to its location, local areas of interest are within a short drive, such as Saratoga Race Track and Racino, Saratoga Springs and Saratoga Battlefield. It is also close to Bennington,Vt. There is also a restaurant/bar on the ground floor.

Reviewed By kenkai2022Had to be in Troy for an event. Only room available was a suite which was a large room with king size bed, sofa and jacuzzi in the open. No soap, shampoo or hair dryer in room. Had to go get it myself. Breakfast buffet was fair with rubbery scrambled eggs, no hot oat meal or decaf tea. One positive was pancake maker which was made nice individual pancakes. Not enough parking. Had to park across the street in medical complex. The hotel needs a make over but was clean. It is conveniently located near restaurants.

Reviewed By YYZ2HHIThere are B and B’s….and then there is the Gardner Farm Inn. From the second we met proprietor and owner John, we felt as if we had known him for years. The house has been lovingly decorated with an eclectic collection of items that recall memories spanning generations. It is clear that hospitality is king at Gardner Farm Inn. John is accompanied by two lovely rescue Greyhounds who are as sweet and docile as can be. The breakfast — served at our requested time, was lovely with some items coming straight from the on premise garden. The bedrooms were large and very comfortable. The quality of the sheets alone was worth the stay! Most reviews end here. The house was lovely, the amenities perfect and the food excellent. In my opinion, this is where the review begins! John is such an interesting and engaging host, we did not want to leave. We could have chatted all day. There are a number of fun things to see and reasons to visit Troy, NY. Be sure to put the Gardner Farm Inn at the top of your list.

Reviewed By db2kpNice location by a river walk with great restaurants and bars. Beautiful walk along the river. Cleans rooms. Front desk and bartender were absolutely wonderful. Nice balcony with fire pits and high tops where you can have a glass of wine or sip a cocktail . Would stay here again

Reviewed By inolizThe mansion was truly a “home away from home” with comfortable beds and amenities! Tina, the owner, is a wonderful host and cooks the best breakfast meals and offers a variety of snacks that one can access 24/7! There’s no check-in or check-out time and we got our own designated parking spot and designated bathroom! She’s also an excellent conversationalist and we learned a lot from her from the mansion’s history, the city of Troy, places to visit, and even vacation destinations and tips! The house doesn’t have the luxuries that hotel chains offer but the old charm and exquisite architectural and historical details of the old mansion PLUS the wonderful service Tina offers surely exceeded our expectations! We are actually planning on staying there again this coming weekend with our children this time! - Rufino and Lizza
