With breakfast:)We are between Tokyo and Nikko! It's approved officially in Japan.(Hotel Licensed) Near the station (JR, Tobu) There are two private rooms(~3people×2rooms) and a large room(~8people). Breakfast is included! Parking is available for three vehicles. Please request parking beforehand. Private rooms and the large room are located on the second floor. There is no elevator. All beds are futons. It is the Japanese simple inn-style. There are services such as a microwave oven, a refrigerator (common use), coffee, and tea on the second floor. The first floor is available as a common use space. Because the third floor is the host's residence, please feel free to ask if there are any requests!

Reviewed By invis_ladyA 3-storey guesthouse located on a branch of the Tomoeha River. Megumi speaks enough English to communicate the facilities of the hotel and she is very welcoming. It is very convenient to be able to rent a bicycle from her to ride around town. I slept in one of the western dorm-style beds and it was very comfortable. A thoughtful touch is spare earplugs at the tea station upstairs. One thing I am finding is that when a listing says "shared bathroom facilities, that could mean any number of things! Here, the showers are clean and good, and there are 2 separate and lockable shower cubicles, can be used by men or women. There are toilets on every floor. The guesthouse has a good free breakfast, I had some boiled eggs and a savoury pastry. Toast and jam is also available. They also do hot drinks and meals if needed. It's a reasonable walk from the train station, but it's flat walking.

Reviewed By nihon-daisukiStayed @Sunroute Plaza Tochigi for 4 nights in spring 2008. It was nice, and just across Fukudaya Department Store. So, finding food & drinks is not a problem, as there is a big supermarket in the dept store. It was fun trying local milk (in glass bottle), fruits, etc. Bought lots of nori and snacks as well, as souvenirs for friends back in my country. And had my hair cut there as well. There is a hair salon on 3rd or 4th floor.. (don't really remember). Room was small but clean. Nice soap & shampoo provided, as well as yukata. Small ofuro, hot water provided. Small flat TV for night entertainment. The staff were nice, able to speak basic English. Breakfast was simple but nice. Love the porridge and nori (you can eat as much as you want). Try to wake up early in the morning and enjoy walking around the streets nearby. WIll stay there again in Oct 2009 ^_^

カプセルホテル並の設備
Reviewed By GIZMOKIカプセルホテルではありませんが内容はカプセルホテル並です。ドアはなく、アコーディオンカーテンです。隣のイビキが良く聞こえました。シャワー、トイレは共用です。築浅なので部屋は綺麗でした。

Interesting place
Reviewed By harryadam96We stayed for three nights, this is a medium sized hotel - you could imagine our shock when we were the only guests! It got quite creepy especially at night. The onsen facility is excellent however we did not realise we would not have our own showers! Breakfast was provided which was traditional Japanese which was yummy. It is a bit of a walk from everything else so prepare yourself!
