Lacking

I expect more from a Hampton Inn and didn't get it. To be fair, the property was nice and clean. Our room was decent although surprisingly noisy. The problem is the place is way understaffed. One poor girl running the front desk and supply the sparse breakfast. (Sparse is being generous, cold eggs and cereals) I know It's a resort area but not worth the prices charged.

Quaint & Very Friendly

My wife actually picked this spot off the internet for a recent impromptu trip. Not a hotel chain! It was clean and Jim, I think that was his name, was one of the friendliest people I've ever met. He wanted to make sure we felt welcomed and knew where everything was. The main building has a kitchen/dinning area where you can grab some coffee or breakfast items. You fix your own which is fine. Everything was clean and plenty of utensils, etc. On the other side is a room with a gas fire place and lots of comfortable seating. I thought to myself I could easily spend the day there just reading (and they have books too). The property itself has some outdoor seating, fire pit and such. We were there in cold weather but I think it would be a pleasant setting in outdoor season. Anyway, a jewell in the midst of the world of corporate lodging!

Loved this place!

Reviewed By Lynn P

We spent 5 relaxing, wonderful days here and watched our beloved University of Georgia Dawgs win the National Football Championship as we cozied up next to the fireplace! Nice condo— a bit dated—but clean and well furnished. Comfy bed!! Lots of storage, well stocked kitchen which we loved because lots of restaurants were closed for the season. It’s a tri-level condo with the entrance on the second level ( which was street level). A few steps up was the living room and kitchen and a few steps down was the master suite. Big decks overlooking the lake. We will definitely come back.

Interesting set up

Reviewed By SkiBug5

The unit we stayed in was interesting in that you enter from the top and take stairs down into the living space. We were next to the ski resort that is easily walkable. We saw the snowmakers from our window and went to explore. We did not make use of the facilities, but did some hiking in the area before we traveled on.
