Reviewed By Susan CMy son and I appreciated the cleanliness and friendly staff. Missing in the room was a coffee maker, but all else was comfortable and met our expectations for a nice stay while visiting family in Rhinelander.

Nice room, lousy hotel.
Reviewed By jmeyer37The good: the room. The bed was very comfortable, the TV channel selection okay but not great, and the room was big enough. The bad: the other hotel guests. In the afternoon, a man in the hallway arguing with kids and cursing them. People hanging out at the back entrance with aggressive dogs off-leash. Then at night, from 9 pm on, a couple arguing loudly in the hallway, slamming doors and cursing. Around 11:30, I asked them to be quiet, but they didn't stop. That went on until 1:30 am, when I finally fell asleep. Then in the morning, the police came by to evict another couple (not the arguing couple). Would not stay here again. If not for the bed, one star.

Reviewed By majorairfoleyMy family and I have been staying in a cabin at the Holiday Acres Resort for many years in a row. We began when my son was just a toddler, and now he is 25 years old. This resort has everything! Cabins, hotel rooms, access to Lake Thompson with many piers, basketball and tennis courts, a playground, an indoor pool, a restaurant, horseback riding (up the road) at Holiday Stables, and much much more. Everyone is very nice and the owner, Kim, is the best. We will not go anywhere else when we are up in that area. Oh, and the price is right on par with other resorts in the area. Go ahead and book a stay. You will love it! I promise.

Reviewed By kevinelillquistIf you are looking for a hotel that is not clean has crumbs and hairs on the sheets and whisker shavings around the sink then this hotel is for you. As for me I’ll never stay here again. The first room had the crumbs and the second room had the whiskers and dirty comforter. Maybe I should sleep in my car.

Great winter night stay in the suite
Reviewed By Arch15timesStayed one Saturday night after skiing. Hot tub and pool area were clean and well lit and heated correctly. We had the suite which was very large. Be aware room 225 is above the pool and noisy if the pool is noisy. It closes at 10pm, so it really didn’t bother us as we went out to dinner. We did not make the breakfast. Would stay here again.
