Poor value for money

Reviewed By Grace D

There was no bathtub in the very basic room for $300 per night and the room key was faulty. The TV didn’t work so not the best value for money. The location is good and the lagoon pool is lovely.. just think it’s a little over priced and not sure why.

Great Location Kingscliff

Reviewed By 466perryg

Holidays with my wife were beautiful. We could have stayed there the whole week without having to leave for anything. Fabulous breakfast buffet At Season. Very comfortable and well layed out room. Loved it. Staff were very friendly. Pools were excellent for relaxing with a cool unheated lagoon complex, smaller heated pool and larger jaccuzi. Lots of choice places right on the premises. Wish we could have stayed longer. Investment opportunities around there too.

Adventure to Kingscliff

Had a great time despite the weather gods keeping us guessing on the rain. Close to beach and river - easy walk. Some road noise from Pacific Motorway, but not too loud. Pool and BBQ facilities were clean and tidy.

Blue Waters Motel

Our in-room facilities do vary a little. Only one room has the wheelchair accessibility. Most rooms receive good internet connection with WiFi. We have some rooms of a more 'budget ' style which do not have FOXTEL. Some rooms have kitchenettes others have shared balconies or courtyards, but microwaves are available , on request in all rooms. Guests cannot SEE the beach from our motel, though it is only a 50 metre walk away.

Sensational

I don't go out of my way to write a review unless I'm genuinely (and unexpectedly) impressed. Whoever has styled, decorated, and furnished the rooms has done a superb job. Immediately homely, and the bed was amazing! There are a lot of tired old motels out there that should use this motel as a blueprint for a refresh.

Sunrise Cove Holiday Apartments

worst place EVER

Reviewed By MDKbrisbane

we received all their rules many times by email but they dont live up to many of them. while we were waiting a customer wasnt happy and our process of getting the keys wasnt easy. we paid the rip off $20 a night for the lock up garage only to find when we got to the unit there was no key (the last people they said took it back home with them! - didnt have spares) took us 3 minutes to realize the place was dirty. linen had stains/ floor was sticky/ so was just about everything in the cupboards - glasses werent cleaned/oven etc. stains on the lounge. it went on. so we got the cleaners back and the head cleaner was so rude and made me so upset because i talked to one of his cleaners when she asked me a question. it still never got cleaned properly - we then found easter egg wrappings under the lounge and under the cushions. the ironing board was only metal - no cover at all but two irons. not enough utensils - 1 mircowave jug. the hairdryer was just a travel one- i thought it was a toy. they didnt clean properly - so the covid clean they say they do doesnt happen. that to me is a worry in this day and age. they do well at avoiding and contact with you and answering questions. and as kingscliffe is a busy place they know they will always get people to pay money to stay there. they told me they would look after us if we stayed there again- i dont think so. the two bedroom place was in a good location, handy to everything. just a shame about their standard of cleaning. two other people were complaining when i returned the key about the standard of cleaning and they werent happy either. they are run by the same people who look after the paradiso resort, they manage a few places in kingscliffe.

Paradiso Resort Kingscliff

Rundown and Filthy

Reviewed By calumb2018

I sent this email to Paradiso over a week ago and have not received so much as a reply. "We had the misfortune of staying at your "resort" from Thursday the 19th of May until Sunday the 22nd. A 4 star hotel I think not. We paid $732.64 for 3 nights including parking, so the price was for 4 star, the accom was 1. When we arrived the apartment was filthy. I usually grin and bear situations like that and just never stay there again. After discussing it, my wife went and spoke to reception. The counter staff were all very friendly and helpful. That we could not fault. A cleaning crew was sent back up to the room for a few hours to rectify the situation. We can only assume they went to the wrong apartment. These photos are all taken after the 2nd clean. I counted 4 cigarette butts, much deep dust on every flat surface, a dodgy repair on the rooftop that would give a workplace health and safety officer a coronary, Twisties in the couch, a broken towel rack, an iron spewing water faster than you could refill it... I could go on. The following day our door cards stopped working as well as the automatic gate to leave the car park. In isolation, those things would have been perfectly tolerable. However, for an overpriced dump with a rooftop that looked at buildings rather than the ocean, that hadn't been cleaned for who knows how long, we'd have enough. So bright and early Sunday morning we left. I'm contacting you rather than posting this on Booking.com, Google & TripAdvisor to give you the opportunity to explain WTF?"
