Reviewed By Travel37997617056For the price, this was a great place to stay. Was attending a weekend long sporting event at the Cedar Point Sports Complex. The breakfast was better than average and staff was really nice. Clean and basic which was just what we needed. Will stay here again!

Come enjoy our wooded 5 1/2 acre grounds, and walk down our lane to our beach, a beautiful panoramic view of Lake Erie. Our accommodations offer a view of Lake Erie and Cedar Point Amusement Park. When at Cedar Point be sure to ride the new Rougarou. We have 1, 3, 4 Bed Room Furnished Homes on the water and 28 units, 13 having 2 double beds, and 2 King rooms, all with showers and TV's. Ten minutes from Cedar Point Amusement Park and Sandusky Ohio. Along the shore of Lake Erie, Cedar Point is visible from our beautiful beach.
If it wasnt for the unexpected fee
Reviewed By CWBuffThis was a fast 1 night stop over on a long drive to INDIANA The after hours check in process was as efficient as promised The little cottage was cute and nicely clean Walked over to the lake in the morning... the reason for my low rating is the "extra fee" that I was charged, which IMHO is simply ridiculous!!!!. I booked this place through Expedia and was quoted a rate which then had roughly $8.00 added for 'taxes & fees'. I was totally fine to pay that. However when the charge appeared on my CC statement it was almost another $2.00 additional (OK nobody will get rich or poor from $2.00 and you may call me cheap but still) When Expedia called the hotel they were informed that this was "a service fee if you process your payment thru credit card" Dont think I'll be stopping there again - IMHO things like charging extra for CC payments should be disclosed

Needs a serious deep cleaning
Reviewed By KpogodThe smell hits you when you walk in the lobby. The carpets, windows and ceilings are absolutely filthy. This hotel is unfit for guests until a deep cleaning takes place. Until this happens, choose a different hotel.

Reviewed By anc2320Sawmill Creek was such a nice place to stay! It totally reminds me of a Adirondack Mountain resort. It is cozy and decorated reflecting that feel. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The best part is that they are pet friendly! The Bath & Body works products in the bathroom were nice as well. We would love to come back and visit during the summer when the outdoor pool is open.
