Hótel Laugarhóll is a peaceful and comfortable rustic country hotel in the east part of the Westfjords. It is located in the green and sparsely populated valley Bjarnarfjördur, midway between Reykjavík and Ísafjördur. We have 16 double rooms, 11 with private bathrooms, and a comfortable living room with free internet access.

Reviewed By wdcwThis hotel has a number of plus points - friendly staff, good food, nice pool. The rooms are reasonably comfortable, but starting to show their age a bit (eg sanitary fittings). Incidentally, I agree with marts03 on removal of shoes. This is something the establishment might want to rethink.

Reviewed By GlynCarreI really enjoyed staying here. The owners are really friendly and helpful, just great. This is an older building, beautiful inside with great character. Location could not be better, fabulous harbour view and right between two popular restaurants (literally a minute or so walk to either).

Cozy Home Stay
Reviewed By 657emilietAlthough we drove past it twice because there is nothing to idicate that it is a guest house, our stay was pleasant. We had the entire lower floor apartment (kitchen, sitting room, bathroom) to ourselves. The bed was delightful-- a real king bed! It felt more like I was house sitting at afriends' place. Our host greeted us and was available on site if w needed anything.

Is it really a Hôtel???
Reviewed By uphronArrived at 7 pm, nobody at the reception. Call a number written on the door. A lady arrives ...almost 10 minutes After the call... Says she's a Friend of the owners, she obviously doesn't know much. Thinks we stay one night (no, it's 3, prepaid). The room is small but clean. We are Alone in the hotel. The next 3 days, NOBODY came to clean the room, change the towels, reload cofee and tea..Of course, no breakfast. For almost 120€ per night, this is a scam and this place doesn't deserve to be called a hôtel...
