Nice hotel in a picturesque village
Reviewed By HellnarWe stayed in Hotel Euzkadi for one night and were given a spacious attic bedroom on the third floor, well renovated, : comfortable bed, large bathroom, very clean and quiet and there is a lift ! It is not always the case in a hotel created in an ancient house and there is a large parking area in a street behind the hotel. Well functioning free wifi. Only downside : the restaurant is closed on tuesday night and a mail was sent to us only three days before our arrival.

A comfortable small hotel in the heart of the village of Espelette The Hotel Chilhar welcomes you in a warm and friendly atmosphere Double room, twin or triple are all decorated with care and offer you rest and tranquility for a successful stay. Each one has a desk, free wifi access, a flat screen TV, and a bathroom with toilet. You will stay side village or garden side with the view on the mountains. To start the day well, breakfast is served in the breakfast room or on the garden terrace. Hot drink, pastries, jams, bread, orange juice but also cheese and ham of the country. Have a good stay!
Fails to deliver
Reviewed By 989abebThe hotel is nicely located right in the center of the charming village of Espelette. This place does not deliver on what it promises: we booked a full pension, i.e. accomodation along with a three course dinner at the hotel’s restaurant as well as breakfast the next morning. Turned out the restaurant was closed so we went next door to Aintzina Restaurant (excellent food btw). The next morning, we had to wait a long time to receive very little for breakfast. Not even a piece of cheese or butter was offered. The milk in the coffee was off. One young lady was working hard, double hatting at the reception while waiting tables, clearly this place is understaffed. Room was basic, bed is tiny (not for tall people at 190cm), same goes for the shower.

Reviewed By Jack MA wonderful house with exceptional views of the surrounding hills and pimento farms. Our upper floor room had views from the bedroom and bathroom, we couldn't decide which was best! The house is beautifully and tastefully furnished. The surrounds are calm and peaceful. The hostess is charming and helpful. We could not fault anything. The location is great for access to many interesting places nearby.

Reviewed By 84chrisLa chambre d’hôte fetes tout juste sa première bougie, et le maître des lieux semble bien rôdé… Très bel accueil,belles explications sur la région, bons conseils de Visite. une application (smart phone) qui vient en renfort à télécharger sur place (très original) pour les sorties et les petits conseil. Et surtout un cadre de séjour exceptionnel, une belle forêt pleine de châtaignes autour de la maison vous invites à la promenade. Le petit déjeuner quant à lui est élaboré seulement avec des produits de qualité (très agréable !) Une belle réussite.

Reviewed By JoelC6Accueil sympatique de nore hôte dans ce qui est aussi une galerie d'art au RDC au fond la cuisine salon et un petit jardin ...accueil de mon chien aussi gratuit. A l'etage chambre de bonne taille avec vue sur le chateau mairie WC et SDB sur le palier. Modeste mais confortable
