Reviewed By ClemrickI stayed for four nights. The sheets are wonderful! There was a full hot breakfast with cinnamon rolls, scrambled eggs or omelets, bacon or sausage, and biscuits and gravy along with cold cereal, bread, bagels, yogurt, etc. The people were friendly and answered any questions I had. No guest laundry, but you can't have everything.

Reviewed By wilsonjw42This hotel has become a mess. There's trash and broken glass in the parking lot. The pool is closed. Breakfast is meager. And the area around my room smelled like cigarette smoke. There aren't a lot of choices in this town; that may be why quality has slid so far.

Reviewed By cosettej533Booked non-smoking, got a smoking room. I booked for 2 nights but I will only be staying 1. I understand the quality of a smoking room is probably going to be dirtier than a non-smoking room, but there were things that shouldn’t have been there no matter what. Clumps of spider webs hanging from the curtains/ corners of the wall. 1/4 of the lights were dead. Shower wouldn’t run out of the shower head. Hair in sink when we checked in and pet hair (??) all over the floor. Burn holes in the blankets. Towels were stained brown. Bathroom tub was stained brown. And of course the smell of smoke. Now, for a smoker this might be pretty standard but as a non-smoker it was disgusting. I felt so filthy sleeping there and I couldn’t even take a proper shower in the morning. I don’t even want to know what a non-smoker room looks like if this is their cleanliness standard.

Reviewed By fulpfamilyinfothe toilet in the bathroom was VERY low. (at least 2 -3 inches lower than the average commode seat) Definitely, not good for those with back or knee issues. Overall, the room was very clean. Bed was comfortable. Hotel was very quiet! There were several folks in town for Pfeiffer Univ graduation...but there was no noise! A great experience!

Our courteous and experienced staff looks forward to making your stay with us a wonderful experience. Albemarle is located in the beautiful Uwharrie Lakes region of Piedmont, North Carolina. It is conveniently located near two of the state's largest urban areas, Charlotte and the Piedmont Triad area. Morrow Mountain State Park is just east of the City, and attracts visitors from across the state. Tuckertown Lake, Badin Lake, and Lake Tillery are all located within a few minutes drive of Albemarle, and offer a multitude of opportunities for boating, fishing, and swimming. Camping, hiking, and other outdoor activities are available at Morrow Mountain State Park and the nearby Uwharrie National Forest. The City's Parks and Recreation Department operates several beautiful parks and a large recreation program. We are just moments away from numerous restaurants, shopping centers and cinemas. Trashy place
Reviewed By MainesqueezeFilthy unkept place. Entrance, halls and room smelled of smoke and some deodorizing attempt to cover it up. The refrigerator did not work and there was water and a slimy tray below the freezer compartment. The light bulb and socket hung from the lamp. The walls are thin and you could hear a couple (she was moaning) down the end of the hall for the whole length of the hall. There was a cigarette burn in the pillowcase and a sloppy mess all over the corner of the mattress. The sofa had oily stains on the arms. The countertops had breaks in cracks in them. The shower curtain had mildew all along the bottom and the bedspread was old, tattered, and ripped. When I got home I had to wash all my clothes again because they smelled like smoke. I had a hard time getting to sleep, for fear of catching something and that indeed, the sheets were not clean. There were bloodstains on the fitted sheet. Although there's a drip coffee maker, you won't find coffee in your room. I had to go to the reception area and ask for a hair dryer. None in the rooms. The sign in the reception area said "No Refunds". Apparently several people have asked before. It's no wonder. This place is a dirty dump and should be closed.
