The 6 best Condos in Ohio, United States

April 19, 2023 Venice Greaves

If you are looking for an active place to stay with world-class attractions, Ohio’s major cities can satisfy any vacation desire. Each offers its own distinct flavor of fun, from professional sports – Bengals (Cincinnati), Cavaliers (Cleveland) and Indians (Cleveland again) – to museums, outdoor activities and more. One of the most famous is the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. If football is your thing, don’t miss the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton. For the science-minded, visit the meat eaters at the Carnivore Conservation Center in the Wilds near Cambridge, dedicated to the breeding and scientific study of endangered mid-sized carnivores. Kids will also love Planet Snoopy in Sandusky or the Columbus Zoo’s Zoombezi Bay Waterpark and Jack’s Landing rides.

Great staff and place to stay

Reviewed By HeatherK135

Great staff Heidi, Kyle, Chris and Rachel took very good care of us from check in until checkout. margaritas were the best on the island! we had a group of ten stayed in the suite closest to the bar we are in our 40s and 50s and had no problem with noise. This will be our place to stay every year in the future. The room had exactly what you need for a vacation close to all the action at a great price.

Waterfronts Condos

We own three condos within the Waterfronts II Condo Community. We are conveniently located on the water/Lake Erie, with the only private pool/hot tub and a private beach. It is just across the drawbridge from the Jet Express and downtown Port Clinton, where you can walk to restaurants, bars, parks, library, great coffee stop and several shops. There is rarely a weekend where there is not an event in Port Clinton. Cedar Point is 20-30 minutes away. African Safari and several water parks are near as well. All condos are fully stocked with all you would need to make a full meal, linens, blankets, towels, etc. "All you need is a toothbrush!" :) Each condo is updated and provide a different "ooh-ahh" than the other, depending on what you are looking for in a vacation home. Email me for a document that can answer any question you might have pertaining to what we supply, grounds/property rules, etc.

Perfect place to unplug for a few days

Can’t say enough great things about this quiet condo complex. I rented a 1-bedroom unit through VRBO and came up from Columbus for a few days of relaxation. Definitely a good place for that! The grounds are very clean and well maintained. The pool is nice-sized and sits adjacent to a small beach. So when you’re laying at the pool you can hear the waves from the lake...really nice. There are a bunch of benches and Adirondack chairs along the beach to sit and watch the waves or the sunset. Numerous grills around the property for those wanting to grill out. Overall lovely experience. I’ll definitely be back!

The Shores Condominiums

VRBO BYOB

A very nice place to stay! It was great to be able to sit down at the pool and read (my perfect vacation), and relax in the jacuzzi. Great amenities, the only thing we had to bring was our snacks ?. Plenty of restaurants close by, convenience/gas station across the street for snacks and beverages. The air conditioner in the bedroom is a little loud, we ended up out on the sleeper sofa. The one thing I was totally disappointed in (and why I titled the review 10-8), I rate the property a 10 but minus 8 (legs) because of too many creepy spiders out on the balcony at night. I couldn't bring myself to sit out there at night and enjoy the evening or that early morning great view of of the lake. That may not bother most people though. I would visit again, just next time I'll bring some bug stuff ?.

St. Hazards

St. Hazards is an amazing 18 acre vacation destination right in the middle of the U.S. Lake Erie Islands. Built on Middle Bass Island directly across from Put-in-Bay (15 minute water taxi trip to and from Put-in-Bay everyday during the season on the Sonny-S), with accommodations from camping to 400 sq. ft. villa cabins. Walk through the tropical colors and cool breezes and exotic landscaping of a Caribbean village. St. Hazards is home to Hazards Microbrewery & Restaurant with the only tiki bar in the region that was made in Bali. And it was the first restaurant on the Lake Erie islands to have a heated pool and hot tub right next to it. Live entertainment on weekends during the season. A car is not needed on Middle Bass. We have shuttles that can pick you up at the dock and get you here in minutes for just $2 per person. Look for the white shuttle with our St. Hazards logo. Our on-site store and gift shop is open every day. St. Hazards is your place for Island Fun.

Great little camp ground located on a Beautiful Island!

We stayed in a private owned villa at St. Hazards with our boys. We had a great time. Explored the island in a golfcart. Janine at St. Hazards was awesome, so friendly and hardworking! Even though she was busy she made us feel very welcome! Boys loved the pool. Met some fun and kind people on the island. General Store had yummy pizza and Giana at J.F.Walleys was amazingly kind and friendly! We will definitely return in the future!
