Run Down Roadside Property

Picked this lodging since it's pet-friendly, but would never stay there again. While the cabin was a good size, it's poorly maintained (not housekeeping), there's no outside seating with a view of the lake and the cabins are 25 feet from the road so there's lots of traffic noise. Other rooms seem really basic and about 50 feet from the road. Maybe it had a "resort" feel years ago, but the property is worn out now.

Quiet stay in the woods

Stayed at Greta's cabin for three nights. It was spacious and has a small fridge and microwave. You can have lunch or dinner outside on the private porch and just relax and listen to the sounds of the birds and just the nature. The place comes with a shower and a comfortable bed. The heater was also great for colder nights. The cabin has an older charm to it. Greta was helpful and responsive and has a maintained property. If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle and just enjoy peace and quiet then this place is for you. There is not much around so you will need to depend on a car to get to and from places. Thank you for the hospitality.

Low budget for the area, but disappointing

Reviewed By terrihSonoma

There are two positive features of this motel: good bed and good shower. Everything else disappointed. Walls seemed dirty, makeshift door to the bathroom, no closet or dresser to hold clothes, very loud guests disturbing peace.

Lake Place Resort

Filthy—ZERO STAR RATING. UGH.

Reviewed By prescottpatty

Upon arrival I was treated with rudeness and accused of giving Booking.com my incorrect card number. “YOU give wrong number!!!!!!” Instead if “there has been a mistake.” I wish I had walked out at that point even if there were no other places for me to stay. My car would have been an upgrade from this dump. Upon first entering the tiny room the place appeared clean. You know-walls painted, floor swept, bathroom tiny but okay. HOWEVER the “not visible at first glance” places in the room were FILTHY!!! -Coffeepot had dried coffee in bottom, the mechanism itself was black with old coffee. -Microwave had food in back crevice. -Floor under the bed was thick with dust and debris. -Shower mat back was completely BLACK MOLD covered! -Shower tiles under the mat equally moldy. -URINE DRIBBLE on the toilet brim -quilt worn and smelled of cologne in places -Dirty spotted mirror -No Kleenex -No hairdryer -frayed, stained towels I would NEVER recommended this “resort” to anyone. Ever. I’ve stayed in places before that were plain and simple, but never have I seen such FILTH!!!!!! Simply disgusting.

Some guy came out and was rude to me and I was just walking my dog!

Reviewed By TyshaK2

I didn't even need to STAY at this dump to have a crappy experience. Wow. Heaven forbid you try to walk down to the lake shore with your dog on a beautiful sunny day. There are NO signs saying anything about private property, but some old fat rude guy will come down to you yelling that it is, and if you aren't staying here, you cannot walk down to the water. Again, ZERO signs, and for crying out loud, I was going for a jog with my dog on a beautiful sunny day. I dont live in this town, and WOW do I know why now. Awful. What is your PROBLEM??
