The 5 best Motels in Yakima Valley, United States

June 12, 2023 Brain Ambrose

Over a hundred years of viticulture has come to fruition in Washington's oldest wine region, the Yakima Valley. Home to over 11,000 acres of vineyards and the largest concentration of wineries in the state, the region produces a wide variety of wines, including Chardonnay, Riesling, Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz. The valley's numerous picturesque orchards also bear all sorts of fruit. Providing grapes for nearly half of Washington's wine, Yakima is the backbone of the state's wine culture.

I stayed there March 11-13. Front desk was very pleasant. In the late evening I pulled the night stand out to plug in my Lap Top. Behind there was a box of Condoms. I was appalled. I took a picture and went to the front desk. She did ask me to change rooms but it was so late I had to much to move my self. She gave me the email of the Assistant General Manager. I sent him a email explaining the event. The next morning I went down and asked him why haven’t you contacted me?. He said he other things to do first and would see me here at the front desk. I had a trade show to attend so I had to leave. Coming back that evening , I thought my room would of been cleaned of my findings Nooooo . I’ve never stayed a such a unprofessional establishment. He did offer me a discount on my next stay. That will never happen. I do not recommend this Hotel.

I work to hard for my money to waste it on this hotel

Booked 1 rm for 2 nights, non smoking, arrived, was given our key, room reeked of smoke. Another room key, the smell was ok but the floor had finger nails scattered about. We were there for a total of 1 hr, we canceled the second night and stayed somewhere else. I would have welcomed some feedback but no communication. The only communication we received was on our credit card statement being charged for the pigsty. To top it off I was not credited with points although I paid for one night. Choice Hotels needs to seriously look at this Hotel. Not sure where these "good" reviews come from ??? the Management??

Drive by it to another place!

I don’t usually take the time to review motels, but this one needs a warning to anyone thinking about booking here. If all you care about is price, go for it. There are other places nearby, I highly recommend avoiding this place. It was terribly dirty, the heaters in the place are old turn knob style thermostats that with a cadet style heater on the wall. It stunk like dust, we were afraid of a possible fire starting so we turned it off. The carpet is disgusting, it smells and the rooms reek of chemical cleaner that’s just masking the odor. Bathrooms are not clean, tile floor is unable to look clean. Shower stall you have to step down into and even the shower head is really low and hits you in the neck area, you have to bend down to get water on top of your head. While we’re on the shower it took like 3 minutes to get warm water finally and could never get it dialed in. It was a disaster. I wanted ice for some drinks, the woman at the desk said the ice machine was broken. The stairs going up to floor 2 stink and are shoddy. They don’t seem safe honestly. Just avoid it at all cost. The only way this place could be improved is if they bull doze it and rebuild.

Nice woman to check in with, dingy motel

Reviewed By HawaiiDaveJr

The lady that checked me in was friendly and she didn't charge me extra for my small dog. Old motel with some rooms rented for the month or longer. Lots of cables mounted on the ext. of the building. Probably for cable TV (never turned it on) or Wi-Fi (VERY slow). Homeless people walking by the motel at ALL hours of the night. Large dog next door barking and roosters crowing behind motel. Alley behind motel was meeting place for all sorts of people at all hours.
