Unique Hideaway

We stayed 3nights in The Escape Shack. We were absolutely delighted with this unique style of open air accommodation. The presentation and cleanliness were top rated. The peace and quiet was such a contrast to our busy hectic lives. The views from the deck were amazing and the sunsets spectacular out over the inlet. 1770 has a local pub for afternoon drinks and dinner and great fish and chips at the marina. A short 7 min drive takes you to Agnes Water to a number of eateries, Foodworks and the best Gelato for an afternoon treat!! We were so sad to leave this peaceful haven. The hosts are so welcoming and helpful with information and I commend them on the beauty they have created in this special hideaway. If you want a quiet relaxing break this is for you. Thank you.

Captain Cook Holiday Village

Not our fav park

Reviewed By Brissy2

Blind corner getting in and out of the very busy van park. We drove through the boom gate to enter the park and up the hill – had to wait about 10-15mins for another van to park which was blocking the small narrow and winding road which was the only road in and out. Lots of ditches and drains plus root stumps where you have to reverse your van over. Loads of trees – shade is a good thing but falling branches possibly not so. The laundry was at the front of the park which was so far away from where we were, being at the back of the park. They had a shop at the front entrance. The amenities were clean. There were markets outside the front entry the weekend we were there. There is a nice nearby beach which is accessible by walking the 800m track which was hilly and some parts very sandy.

Flood-bound in a beautiful spot

Reviewed By Judy J

If we had to be unable to move on due to flooding over local bridges and also Gympie then this is just the most perfect place. We could have been marooned in our car overnight so this was certainly the better option. Two nights turned in to 5. The staff were wonderful and we wanted for nothing. The weather was appalling but we were the last who could complain. We had as private spa on our balcony and plenty of room to move in oour Apartment. There is a lovely restaurant with attentive helpful staff to look forward to if not eating in our room. I only had one grumble and thatwas the low level lighting in our Apartment. This seems to be the norm now and we aren't sure why as the new bulbs can be brighter and also energy saving.

Bali vibe Penthouse

Reviewed By AshMayDale95

We stayed in the penthouse which had beautiful views and a good vibe! We received a great price and great customer service. I wouldn't pay the full price as it needs some renovating and a face lift. I would stay again if property received a refresh. There is alot of other properties around the same price or less that are more modern and closer to beaches. I think it could use with a deep clean as well.
