Not fancy but the location makes up for it
Reviewed By Niobe_BRecommended by a friend, clean basic room with incredible location perched over the water. Our room was recently redone but the rest of the building is pretty old looking. Staff was very kind. Simple breakfast with option of a simple coffee and pastry or small buffet. Seemed to be on the bike circuit and could definitely see why....amazing spot with a little walk down the street to the beach or down a cliff embankment. Wonderful waking up to the sunrise over the ocean in the morning.

Reviewed By 117nathaliePetit déjeuner continental avec de bons croissants et du bon pain. Possibilité d'arriver à n'importe quelle heure en prévenant à l'avance. Chambres spacieuses et propres. Possibilité de se garer gratuitement dans la rue. Absence de toute décoration, personnalisation dans les chambres. Sol, murs et lit bas de gamme : lino éraflé au sol, sorte de crépis peint dans un vieux jaune au mur, mobilier éraflé également, bref, ça donne un peu le bourdon. Pas de prise de courant près des lits et très peu dans la chambre en général : il m'a fallu jongler pour recharger batterie externe, téléphone et appareil photo en me relevant la nuit... Pas de wifi (c'est bien indiqué mais quand même). Équipement minimaliste.

Nous avons savouré la vue magique depuis la terrasse de notre chambre sans oublier cette même vue lors de notre petit déjeuner face à la mer! Autre point apprécié à souligner : une très bonne literie

Good value in Cerbere
Reviewed By folkestadI stayed in Hotel Arago for one night over the Easter weekend. This is a busy time for hotels, and we felt lucky to find a room available at a decent price. Hotel Arago has the same owner as Hotel La Vigie, and this is where you check in for the Hotel Arago. It's a 5-minute walk away. The owner (I believe the woman who checked us in is the owner) is a lovely, congenial woman who made us feel at home. The Hotel Arago, a is really just a building with maybe 10 or 12 rooms...with no reception. It has been newly renovated and we found it to be very comfortable and very clean. The shower was very powerful and this being a small town, it was quiet at night. We had a good sleep. I certainly can recommend this hotel to anyone looking for clean and comfortable accomodation in Cerbere. As guests at this hotel, we were invited to use the facilities of the larger Hotel La Vigie, which includes a terrace over the sea. I must add that Cerbere is a wonderful place to have a bicycle, as there are so many beautiful areas within a relatively short (but hilly) range.
