Beautiful old estate house with fabulous restaurant
Reviewed By MsSoxtoyouOur room was spacious and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was large with all the mod cons and the tile work was outstanding. The decor of the entire en suite was elegant. We booked for one night and ended up staying 3 nights! The restaurant was very good and we looked forward to our evening meals there. The area around the village is sea marsh and quite interesting. We used Le Martinet as a base to make a day trip to Nantes.

Surprisingly good location
Reviewed By SmithendSet in the marshland around Bouin, this barn conversion is part of a terrace, and set in a tranquil location. The surrounding area is brilliant for cycling of all abilities with a largely flat but very interesting landscape with plenty of quiet roads and dedicated cycle paths. The accommodation itself it something of a mixed bag, with poor acoustic control between rooms and very poor moisture control in the bathroom (with no extractor or window) resulting in a strong smell of mould. The shower is also small with a wrap around plastic curtain. On the positives the double bed was very comfortable, the breakfast with a range of artisan breads and home made jams a delight and the owners very hospitable. It is the latter and the reasonable pricing that saves it. With an extractor fan in the bathroom and a bigger shower it could be so much better!

Maison des Anges is a guest house in the centre of Bouin, just 3 km from the sea. It offers original oak doors and a lounge with wooden beams and a library. Rooms at Anges feature oak furniture and are decorated in bright colours. Wi-Fi is free throughout the guest house, including in the lounge where guests can watch TV. Public parking is also offered at a location nearby and is free of charge. Located in Pays de la Loire, Anges is ideal for those wishing to visit Ile de Noirmoutier which is a 15-minute drive away. We speak your language!
Very clean and homely
Reviewed By Colin TStayed one night here recently.We were made very welcome by Tatania and her husband Olaf.This small B&B is very clean,homely and central placed in the village next to the church.Very good value for what you get. Bouin itself is a very sleepy village,where nothing much appears to ever go on. I would certainly recommend Maison Des Anges to anyone.
