Thousand Palms RV Resort

Family friendly NOT.

Reviewed By I83NUlarryh

Had the misfortune to stay at this “Family friendly” rv resort for a time. And have visited people that still stay there and seems like things are even more ridiculous than when we were there. First off the website offers amenities that this place does not offer. Where was the fabled wet zone? Where is the three whole golf pitch and putt course? I am not sure but I think that is what is considered false advertising. There is no family friendly, it is trying to be a 55 and older community and the ones working there do every they can to make you feel unwelcome if you have kids. Well welcome enough to take your payments, but after that the family friendly ends. Kids can’t walk around, club house off limits, no playground, but people drinking and driving around in golf carts is ok. Now for the good, the pool is amazing, the person caring for it is of very rude and nasty to kids. The girls riding around cleaning and picking up park are amazing and very very friendly ( even to the children) the sites are nice and level we were in a standard site with no septic, they pump out twice per week, nice perk. With that said we were always reminded of well that’s against the rules. What rules? We never got a copy of any rules nor did we sign anything saying we understood unwritten rules. The place has gone downhill. We stayed there under the old owner years ago. She would be mortified to see the goings on there now.

Week Stay At Lake Pan

We stayed at this park December 25, 2021-January 1, 2022. The park is rustic, dirt sites, they keep them clean. We had a pull through and it was easy to get into and out of. The Staff and Residents there are so welcoming and nice. We received an email from the park the morning of the arrival reminding us the office would be closed, where to find our packet and the location of the site. They also invited us to Christmas dinner. Rates were reasonable for the week. Would definitely stay there again. Close to Bushnell, The Village and Webster.

Worst Experience Ever

Reviewed By Richard D

About 15 years we stayed here and we thought the beds were the worst we have ever stayed in. Well, I think we slept in the same beds for the past two days. Let me start with the good comments. The room is clean and the shower works well but it was downhill from there. The bath towels were barely larger than hand towels and felt like sandpaper. The beds were awful. My wife's box spring was about a foot longer than her top mattress. My mattress kept sliding off the box springs during the night and both beds were old, mushy, and uncomfortable. The furniture is old and uncomfortable. The living room recliner doesn't recline and should have been thrown out long ago. This was a miserable experience.

We found their lodge on hotel booking website and booked it on same day, great price and the lodge was very clean. The owner was friendly and so helpful it was my best time of our holiday! There are barbecue facilities, also indoor cooker, pans and all sorts of utensils in your room! If you love the natures, this is the place you need to visit! Thank you Ron and Rosa ??????
