Trust the reviews, you will not be disappointed

We went to visit the nearby "Equita" exhibition at Euroexpo in Lyon (only 25 min drive from the place). After having read all the reviews, we hoped it would be a great place to be. And indeed, it was! We staid in the Chalet "City" and nothing, really nothing! was missing; clean, generous and with plenty of little details including the welcome rose. You will not find standard and everything shows that the owners have put their heart into this. We also used the kitchenette that is put at disposal for a small fee. And, what a discovery when heading for breakfast. The small white building in colonial style puts you immediately in a different world. Having traveled a lot to the South of Africa, we were right back there. A wonderful breakfast room, where the sound the savannah in the background makes you actor in "Out of Africa". Last but not least not to forget the wonderful service we enjoyed. Attentive, plenty of little extras were offered to accomplish a "non vanilla' breakfast buffet with some exceptional choices.

Comfortable accommodation

Reviewed By Jan H

The rooms are generous as are bathrooms, although this is not luxury accommodation it is good value for money. There is also a fully equipped kitchen where you can make a meal, refrigerate supplies or just make a coffee. Breakfast was included in the price with lovely homemade conserves. No parking problems, but the property is set back a little on the road, so can easily be missed

Enjoyable and low key

Great location for exploring beautiful gorges de chassezac. Nice setting for the club around the castle, and nice big pool, which was not too busy when we went there. Accommodation was fine, but a bit small and dark... Disappointed not to have WiFi in the apartments..

So Comfortable!!

Reviewed By jmmlaguna

Comfortable hotel owned and managed by the wonderful and kind Mathilde! Our renovated room exceeded our expectations - It was spacious, spotless and had the most comfortable bed! The bathroom was huge! Rooms were quite and had the latest of needs - heated towel racks, safe, rain shower, coffee set-up, flat/sparkling water, separate toilet room, darkening blinds; the amenities were beyond our expectations!! Parking can be reserved in the building and Mathilde helped us in and out of the garage (which is right next to the elevator). Breakfast was huge and in a beautiful room overlooking the river! The location was perfect - right in front of the pedestrian bridge!

Perfect! Very Recommended

We were 3 families went to the French Alps for a long weekend in order to celebrate my mom in law birthday. We ordered 3 houses. One for each family. The houses are beautiful. Very well equipped with everything needed in order to leave in the apartment. The location is amazing! On the mountain, in a quite area with amazing view. A good place to start touring around the French Alps. 30 min from Annecy. 1 hour from Geneva Airport. There is a small town 10 minutes away (Saint Jorioz) that you can buy things for the apartment in the Supermarket. We actually felt quite at home and loved to come back to the apartment every evening. The owner were extraordinary and assist us in everything needed, and with all the questions we had.

TERRESENS - Hotel Escapade

The Chalet Hotel Escapade is a great little hotel on the edge of the piste and close to the old town of Alpe d'Huez. The wellness facilities are particularly good and the outdoor hot tub is not to be missed! Couple that with our friendly Neilson hospitality and you have an exciting holiday ahead.

Very welcoming and great location

Reviewed By fozz22018

This chalet is in a brilliant location where you can get to the Alp Express ski lift in seconds which takes you to the central station for access to all other lifts- you can also walk easily into the town. The chalet itself has a great wellness area including a sauna, steam room and hot tub which is much needed after a day of skiing. Being part of a party of eight, I thought that it would be difficult to accommodate us all together for dinner but it wasn’t a problem at all and there were plenty of places for us to sit together in the bar too. A great breakfast selection and three course evening meal was available every day, and the food was really tasty. The rooms were small but comfortable and included everything you needed including towels and a hairdryer. The staff were absolutely lovely and I would definitely book to come here again!
