Don't waste your trading power for this property

We stayed at this property last year and were very pleased thus our return. This year we were placed in the oldest building on the property as the newer units were being remodeled. Very outdated, flooring was uneven, flooring around the tub had mold and was soft and had holes in it, kitchen flooring had gouges/holes and was peeling, bath towel rack kept falling down, a burner on the stove was not working, ice maker broken, carpet buckled and faded, furniture was dirty, door stoppers hanging loose, bathroom sink stopper not working, the key to the unit would not work - had to continually jiggle and twist until it would turn in the lock. We expressed our concerns with the check in attendant who said she would have maintenance come over. When he arrived, he called his boss to come to the unit and he basically said we were out of luck and there was no available unit to move us to, but we could call up front and double check. When we called, the check in attendant was very short with us and accused us of "going over her head' by calling maintenance when she was the person who called maintenence. We will not return to this property

The perfect weekend getaway

Reviewed By L8042RZmartab

We loved our weekend visiting and staying The Roaring River Vineyard. Where we stayed was great and had lovely views of the river just outside the back door. The food at the restaurant was very yummy and everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming. We had a fun weekend, and got to enjoy Stone Mountain and a lot of relaxing with some wine. We enjoyed the bocce ball court at the Vineyard. The owners are very friendly and we really enjoyed getting to tour the vineyard. We hope we can get back sooner than later! Highly recommend.

Wonderful time away from the Florida heat

Reviewed By debra c

I cannot say enough about this place..our home away from home for July and August this year, and hopefully in the years to come. Quaint, cozy cottage with lots of upgrades from the 40s era when it was built. We were assigned Cottage #6, which is to the back of the property. Very quiet back there. Any problems that came up were quickly addressed by our landlord Tim. In fact, I’d barely hit send on the text before he would come riding up on his truck to attend to anything we needed. If you’re looking for the Taj Mahal, look elsewhere. But if you’re looking for a quiet, centrally located place to stay in the NC mountains, this is your place.

Perfect for family reunions

Reviewed By vgj1951

My family of 40 people and I have been having family reunions at Pebble Creek for over 16 years. The houses are perfect, and the customer service is awesome there. It is behind grocery store but once you around the corner, you are in a secluded wooded private area. There is also a community room that can seat up to 50 people comma with the kitchen that can be used for food prep. We highly recommend Pebble Creek whether you are with 4 or 40 people. There is great shopping in nearby Cashiers or Highlands, and many, many waterfalls to explore in the area.

Going down hill

Reviewed By jambocoo

We have had yearly vacations at the Villa for the past 32 years. This was our worst trip. The Villa is still undergoing outside repair construction so many units are not available, you might have a room, but no access to a balcony, make sure you check with your rental company on this before booking. The complex has three pools and two hot tubs, unfortunately one hot tube is broken and will not be repaired according to owners we know there, and the other one is faulty, meaning it works but not well. You have to have an electronic key card to access the pool complex. Your rental company provides this. Due to a lack of security or any managerial staff around after the Labor Day weekend the pool complex is not secure anymore, no one comes around to check your pool pass wrist bands, also provided by your rental company, nor are the gates secure. People, mostly kids, will come from the beach and neighboring condominiums and to swim and use the restroom facilities. No one abides by the rules or warning signs and it gets noisy. The pools close at 10PM each night, but drunken patrons carry on at times till after midnight or later. The owners decided to do away with reliable Wi-Fi service and now you can only use the Villa-Guest Wi-Fi which drops out constantly. Each unit has good service but the owners will not leave a password for you to use. Makes for long frustrating evenings trying to use your laptop, The only bright spot in the Villa is Splash by the Sea restaurant located inside the front entrance. Very nice folks, service, and great food. Overall the Villa is poorly run and going down hill. It is such a shame for this is a beautiful area and complex. We use to recommend it highly but no longer do so as it is embarrassing.

Plenty of room

Reviewed By MDCami

Although our unit had sufficient room, it was in great need of updating. On the main level dishes, cookware and appliances were old and worn. The Wifi hardly worked(we went to a local cafe to get a good connection). Upstairs, the sheets, towels were clean. The furniture was in bad shape and carpets stained/worn. There was a pool that could be lovely, but it needed repair. The office person was friendly and helpful. We traded our timeshare for this unit and were very unhappy with the accommodations...we left about 3 days early. It just needs some time and money invested.
