Great for people wanting to party. Live DJ at the pool. Poolside bar. Not a place for a quiet getaway. You can here the music inside your room. Room floor needed cleaning and food prices were too high.

We loved it here- newly renovated with excellent staff

The hotel was fabulous and great value for money. Lois at check in made us feel extremely welcome as did Nelson and the rest of the staff. The rooms are tasteful with large tv screens, modern furniture, hairdryers etc. The pool area is clean and has some really lovely chilled music playing. We'd highly recommend staying here. Thanks L3.

Welcome to The O. Natural Mineral Spring Waters. Cannabis Friendly. Pet Friendly. Spa Treatments. The Ultimate Alternative Escape for Adult Desert Relaxation. The O Story Just 25 minutes from Downtown Palm Springs The O Spa is located in the heart of Desert Hot Springs “Spa City”. The thermal mineral waters at the O Spa were used by the Cahuilla Indians for over one thousand years and are unique as they are one of the few odorless thermal mineral springs in North America. The Spa was originally constructed in 1952 but has been thoughtfully updated with modern amenities while retaining its original 1950’s character. The majestic San Bernardino and San Jacinto Mountains surround the resort and provide dramatic 270-degree mountain vistas. Gay Men’s Nudist Resort.

Reviewed By Jacob B

This is a Men’s only Nudist Resort. Checking in bit of a headache. Did not get the room we booked online. Checked in and was given a different room instead. Ended up getting a discount upon check out. Type of room needs to be included with the confirmation number to avoid any future issues. Consistency also needs to be addressed. We did not require housekeeping Saturday and Sunday. On Monday, our room was not cleaned, only towels and trash replaced. Toilet, sink, and mirror were still dirty. No pool towels on the bed either unless they were being washed. Even the garbage can in the bathroom was left in the middle of the floor which seems trivial, but at least put it back in the corner and not leave it in the middle of the floor resulting in a trip hazard. It’s also in the best interest for anyone wanting to stay here double check the room you booked online and call to confirm. For two or more; one name on the reservation is best. Paying with one credit card is preferable, otherwise they have to change the name and it’s a hassle for the employees and longer check in time. We made the mistake of paying with two credit cards. It’s best to pay the full amount before checking in.

Turtle Back Mesa

A quirky, but lovely, respite in the desert

Reviewed By naturistdan

A beautiful home between Palm Springs and Desert Hot Springs with naturally fed soaking tubs heated to the preference of the guests. While the entire place is clothing-optional, it's pretty much a live and let live vibe. Great place to try out naturism with a reluctant partner. I concur with previous reviewers that the shared bathroom situation could be a bit awkward, but you could avoid that by booking the larger room with two beds where you have your own bath and an accessible shower with a large window view of the desert scenery. It's sort of a quirky place, but the architecture and hot springs are truly unique, and Ernest, the innkeeper is kind and welcoming.

Cheetah Hotel

Fun little place!

Reviewed By slightlydoomed

We stayed at the Cheetah for 8 nights and enjoyed the experience overall. I loved that it was small, boutique-y and had a fun theme. The MCM decor paired with the cheetah theme and colors was a clever way to make over an existing space and create a different vibe. Clever! The room and grounds were clean and the staff was friendly when we needed to ask for something or had questions. There were multiple other guests that we saw in passing but despite that, it was VERY quiet, which frankly I appreciate. This place is not huge - it's like 10 or 12 rooms all situated around the pool. The room we stayed in had a cute little no-frills back patio which would have been amazing to relax with a coffee on had it not been for the cigarette smoke seemingly constantly coming from the apartment building behind it (no fault of the Cheetah's, mind you - we just couldn't sit out there for that reason - maybe you won't care). There were 1-2 staff members on site throughout the day, but it was not staffed at night. Not a big deal for us, we are pretty low maintenance guests. You should expect to ask for what you want/need, because nobody is checking in with you day to day and there isn't anyone cleaning up your room while you're staying there. So if you're super high maintenance, needy, or demanding a a guest, this might not be the space for you. They supplied us with vouchers for free breakfast/discount on other menu items at a nearby restaurant which I thought was a great way to work with another local business and offer something nice to guests. Pool is small but clean - we enjoyed a night swim and I regret not using it more throughout the trip. A couple of things that could have improved the stay for us - I couldn't for the life of me get the wifi to work enough to support streaming anything on my laptop (I ended up just using my phone a a mobile hotspot). The shower has STRONG water pressure, and the shower head is mounted at the top like a rainfall shower fixture -- love this in theory -- but the shower head combined with the water pressure ended up being a bit aggressive and could feel a little like a punishment rather than a relaxing moment. We chuckled about it every time we used it. The air conditioner didn't seem to be strong enough to thoroughly cool the room but it certainly tried its best. The bed was a little too soft for us, which is totally personal preference - but the material the (very fun leopard print) comforter was made of was not the best quality and tends to retain your body heat making the room seem hotter. The owners of this hotel own two others right nearby (Art Hotel and Tiki Hotel, neither of which I've stayed in yet), and I gotta say... I love the ideas and creativity put into giving these places a makeover, a fun vibe, and a new life. The pros outweigh any cons, for me, and based on this experience I'd definitely book again or try one of the other two.

Locked out!

Reviewed By 986katiea

This place is awful and so is the staff! We had no hot water for three days! Very outdated for sure with no maid service at all! You can call and get clean towels because we had a total of four bath towels in a two bedroom! We got locked out of the dated community two evenings in a row called the emergency number and they didn’t even call me back! If it wasn’t for residents that live in there our 30 minute wait could have been so worse! Greg and Erica front desk are totally helpless they offered us a free week for our worst stay ever! Who would want a free week! We booked this thru interval international and have voiced our concerns with them and hoping they remove them from their getaway list for Palm Desert?
