I can honestly say I have never stayed anywhere that deserves full marks more than La Maison Vintage. The rooms are large comfortable, decorated with care and attention to detail and a love of the best of the 1970’s and 1980’s The hosts are incredibly welcoming, a drink in the beautiful garden on arrival, a quick orientation session, very knowledgeable and helpful, really go the extra mile to help and ensure an enjoyable stay. Lovely breakfast in the garden. the house is filled with fascinating items, everywhere you look there is something of interest, I spent the whole 3 days smiling.

Lovely stay with the perfect hosts

Reviewed By HannahHouston

We booked a last minute overnight with Nathalie and Erick and we're so glad we did. The accommodation is fantastic, large room, well-equipped and exceptionally clean. The location is beautiful, in a very quaint village and easy to find. The hosts were very kind to accommodate us with a late dinner request and we shared a meal with them, sampling some lovely French dishes and wines. Just wish we could have spent another night or two there! Would definitely recommend and will be back there ourselves.

Yobaba Lounge Yoga Retreat Centre

If you are looking to retreat, relax and rewind, a stay with us might be just what you need. Stay for a couple of nights, a couple of weeks or a couple of months. Work remotely while we look after you with a soulful yogic morning routine and delicious vegan meals each day. We are a boutique retreat centre in a medieval village in the South of France. We have a walled garden with a meditation labyrinth, a glorious yoga shala, and our half board vegan food is sensational and free from sugar and wheat. Much of it is raw. The house is hip, stylish and bohemian, yet it feels like a temple. The rooms are uncluttered, vast and individually styled.

Peaceful, relaxing and beautiful with fantastic vegan food and wonderful yoga!

I took my mother on this yoga retreat as a gift for her 65th birthday and it was worth every penny and every flight to get there! Gurtrud runs this retreat. She is an inspiring, creative, kind and wonderful human being. Just being in her presence relaxes your soul. There truly is a unique and special energy at Yobaba Lounge that I've never experienced anywhere else. The 5 day, 4 night retreat we attended included "noble silence" from 20:30-14:30 the following day, ever day. And it may sound scary but it was transformational. Being alone with your thoughts and not having to make chit-chat with other people was surprisingly freeing. The yoga is in the top floor of the old house (main part built in the 1600's) where often windows are open you can hear the pleasant coo and gentle flapping of pigeons. Yoga for us was mostly light Hatha and restorative which for myself and my mother was just perfect. The nightly guided meditation after dinner by Gurtrud was sublime. She has this way of speaking and guiding you that relaxes you to the core. My mother was so moved that she actually cried a couple of times. The vegan menu was simply stellar. Everything cooked by Gurtrud is surprising, creative and delectable. In addition to being all vegan, she didn't use any soy, or processed sugar. How she got meals like "raw pad-Thai", "Duck wraps" and "Goulash" to taste how she did is simply astounding! She needs to write a cook-book (actually I think you can get some of her recipes online somewhere). The house itself is gorgeous. it's been lovingly restored room, by room. Apparently a lot of the rooms aren't even in use since the house is SO old and restoration is slow. But it lends a peaceful and remote feeling to it all. The house is not uptight or too precious or pretentious. It feels homey and warm and you can use any of the rooms available in most of the downstairs to read, relax and reflect. And the courtyard is stunning, complete with outdoor cats relaxing in the sunlight with you. I would recommend this (or any) of the retreats Yobabba and Gurtrud offer. It's a special place and I will most certainly go back!

This is a charming place to stay! Our room was spacious, super clean, very efficient with plenty of places to plug in computers and applicances as needed. We had a private terrace that we enjoyed very much. Breakfast was amazing. We had endless coffee, croissants, cheese, fresh fruit, juice and even a homemade pain perdu. It is located just a short walk to the village of Peyriac. It's picture perfect. The host is super friendly and helpful, too. I will go back!

It is a wonderful spot in France. Away from the city, very calm, green all around, a wonderful house and great staff. As friendly as can be, very open, very inviting, simply lovely. The breakfast was simple but very nice arranged - all you need.
