Le Domaine de la Cote aux Chats

Having had enough of the city life, we decided to look for a place where we could combine our love for nature and pets (especially cats!). In 2016, we found the lovely Villa de la Côte aux Chats, located in a little village of Champagne called Montiéramey. It was built in 1948. As you can see, the villa retained much of its charm and authenticity. Montiéramey is located in the Regional Nature Park of the forest of Orient, one of the first created in France. This rich and unique place hosts deep forests and fully-equipped lakes dedicated to the practice of water sports. Each of our spacious and comfortable double rooms, located on the ground floor, has its own atmosphere and decoration. The rooms have an en-suite bathroom (shower or bath), storage space and a luggage rack. Free Wi-Fi is available in all 3 rooms. Extra bed (30€/night), baby bed and TV available upon request. Check out: 12 pm. Prices: 65€-80€/night (breakfast included). Pets are not allowed in the villa.

Tres Chic!

We just stayed one night at Le Domaine de la Cote aux Chats and I wish we could have stayed longer! This is a beautiful 1940s house, which has been lovingly restored into a stunning chambre d’hote. Uncle Ernest’s Room is a generous size with a large bathroom. There are such thoughtful touches within the room, all in keeping with the age of the building. Truly comfortable. Baptiste was communicative before our arrival, which was extremely helpful and he proved to be a gracious host. I can not recommend this establishment highly enough.

Camping Le Colombier

A Very Pleasant Campsite

Reviewed By mattcooke93

My fiancée and I found Domain le Colombier when looking for campsites on PitchUp. We stayed for 2 nights whilst we visited the Troyes area for the lakes and watersports. A very pleasant, quiet, pretty campsite! We had a lovely pitch very close to the river where the site backs onto the river L'aube. Very modern and clean toilet and shower block - I think recently renovated. Campsite owner very nice :) We loved staying at Domaine le Colombier, it's a shame it was only for 2 nights! We will definitely book again when we are sure to visit the lakes in future!

La Fralinette

Superb independent stop-over on drive to the Alps

Reviewed By BC77Rugby

My family and I were very fortunate to use La Fralinette this year for a one night stop-over during our annual drive from London to the French Alps. The rooms were extremely clean and spacious with lovely modern ensuite shower rooms and super comfortable beds. The staff were extremely accommodating, staying up late to allow us to check in at midnight and then getting up early to provide a superb continental breakfast. On top of all of this, the room rate was very reasonable, the hotel had ample off-street parking and location wise it was very near to the main motorway exit (approx. 5mins) so was very convenient for the journey. I will certainly be using them again.

Plenty of information and elaborate breakfast

Reviewed By PATRICK D

A very nice room in the special building at the end of the home garden. This little house is completely built by the owner with ecological materials. Our friendly host gave us plenty of information to visit Troyes and the breakfast was elaborate as well. Plenty of home made products and the nice chat during this meal convinced us to go back in the future.

Les Tonnelles

Very cozy place

Reviewed By panagiotisv927

After having driven too many kilometers we decided to stay in this hotel, in Bar sur Seine. We passed via various places, but due to it was the 1st of May everything was closed except Les Tonnelles. Quick and easy check in , very friendly people in the reception and the bar, new rooms designed in a rather modern way. We stayed in a suite that had a really lovely big double bed, a lot of facilities and it was spacious and clean. Prices moderate and affordable, parking space in front of the hotel.

Le Gite de Saint Phal

Perfect!

Reviewed By Jensvs1987

We booked the 'family suite' for my family (5 adults and 2 children) and stayed here for 5 days/4 nights and we really loved it. It has everything to entertain the children (bunch of toys (for indoor and outdoor), the big garden (with flowers, 'chicken area', playground and fruit trees) is fully fenced and has a large beautiful pool (ideal to cool down on hot summer days). The breakfast (every morning delivered to the room) was delicious and also very recommended. And the host Nicolas (fluent in English!) was also wonderful and you could ask him everything (help with BBQ, tips for visits,...). Saint Phal is located in the south of the 'Champagne region' and is ideal to visit champagne domains located in 'Montgueux' and 'Côte des Bars', only half an hour from city centre of Troyes (nice city to visit for a day) and Nigloland (very good attraction park less than 1 hour ride and ideal for smaller children).

Great studio with excellent location

Reviewed By Ellen_and_Pedro

This is actually a little studio instead of a hotel room. The studio has a beautiful large bathroom, a functional and well equipped kitchen and a bedroom area. Everything was spotlessly clean. Actually we cannot think of anything we would add to this studio to make it even more comfortable. Check-in was contact-less via codes on the door but communication excellent so everything was clear and easy. The location is amazing as the studio is on the central square only steps away from historical buildings and restaurants. The only comment is that the price was a bit steep. There isn't too much accommodation in Troyes which drives up the prices probably.

Appart'Hotel Sainte Trinite

Very Disappointing

Reviewed By carolinehO9427KM

We booked this hotel for 1 night to break our journey from the Alps to Calais. Location is great but the hotel really let us down. I think it is quite normal to expect a mirror in a hotel room, but there was not one. I used the microwave door as a mirror! There were no window coverings (we were in the eaves so blinds would have been appreciated). Only 1 small pillow each and no surfaces in the bedroom to put clothes or suit case on, some instructions to enter the building would have been useful, also as would a welcome letter with details of the Wi-Fi. To top it all there was no hot water. The building does not have a manned reception so getting hold of anyone to complain is very difficult. Overall a very shabby and unfinished room that did not impress me. I will not be returning.
