Perfect stay, beautiful location, lots of things to do...!
Reviewed By forever_freedom1We came camping here for 2 weeks during our Summer holidays, and it was brilliant! Stunning location as well! We had a lovely spot to pitch our tent in with lots of space. There were lots of things to do: a little pool, a play park for children, tree houses, a restaurant, free use of lots of really fun trikes and at the other end of the campsite, a long river surrounded by trees that you can go paddling and swimming in. Did not want to leave and highly recommend it! Also, the owners were really friendly, kind and helpful. They showed us around and were always smiling and making conservation. Also got to practise my French! :)

A most enjoyable stay in the country
Reviewed By davec6551A genuine real chateau experience! The rooms are appropriately furnished in the style of an erstwhile era (but with electricity, central heating and en-suites!!). The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The extensive grounds gave us the opportunity to see the chateau from all angles as well as enjoying the views across the countryside. The chateau is run by 2 brothers who were very helpful, one of whom gave us a mini-tour of the ground floor rooms. The buffet breakfast is worth a mention too – plenty of variety and very nice.

Pure enjoyment on the campsite & table d'hôte!
Reviewed By BikethereIt says hotel because for some reason Tripadvisor has not caught on to the wonderful world of tenting. So this review is about tenting on the small campsite next to this wonderful B&B. This time we arrived with our 2cv of 30 years old and our dog in a place that is easily "the middle of nowhere". This "middle" however is gorgeous, dog very welcome, stunning silence, lovely hosts Rene and Rudolph, great food at the wonderful table d'hôte where you meet the other guests but I think what in the end made it all really REALLY stunning was the incredible night sky. On an incredible spacious campsite (3 tents max, then you each have about 100 m2!) we put up our tent, had a wine, took a dive in the cooling swimming pool and hopped on the table d'hôte. Walking back from the dinner we looked up and....wauw: all stars all the way. And further on just the rustling of the trees. Quiet and stunning beauty up above. It was one night only this time around but "we'll be back and for sure bring our bicycles!

Beautiful place to stay and relax
Reviewed By EraineWe really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful chateau. It is in the middle of the countryside so is very quiet and private. It is kept immaculate and the owner is lovely. Would definitely recommend if you want a quiet place to stay or to use as a base to explore the gorgeous countryside. Take cash to pay though as no credit cards, cheques etc. Accepted.

Reviewed By Astur67Nuestra tercera estancia en Le Moulin de Chareau fue tan placentera como las dos anteriores: todo sigue igual de bien e incluso va mejorando con el tiempo, pues se acometen pequeñas obras de mejoras como la nueva terraza junto al estanque. La habitación familiar "À fleur d'eau" es muy recomendable. A destacar la amabilidad y profesionalidad del propietario y la calidad de los desayunos.

Christine et Daniel ont semé des graines de quiétude, de douceur, d'humour, de tolérance et de simplicité raffinée dans un tout nouvel espace de deux hectares proche de Lapalisse dans l'Allier. Alors, il a poussé ce lieu privé... d'interdits, principalement réservé aux couples. Il vous offre déjà trois chambres spacieuses, bientôt cinq, une piscine de 7 mètres par 7, un spa (plus justement un bain à remous), un sauna, une table de massage, une cave de dégustation, un cercle de conversation autour d'un brasero pour les apéritifs enflammés et deux terrasses pour les petits déjeuners et repas ensoleillés. Bonne chère et bons vins ici sont de mises ! Notre table d'hôtes met à l'honneur les produits locaux et ceux de notre potager. Des travaux restent à terminer, ainsi, prochainement s'ajouteront deux chambres supplémentaires, un étang de pêche, un jeu de boules, un stand tir à l'arc, un espace spécial massage et relaxation hypnotique, une salle de réception de 100 m² avec à l'étage un espace détente de 80 m² et quelques surprises pour que votre séjour reste mémorable... Régulièrement, des soirées à thèmes sont organisées, agrémentées parfois par le répertoire chanté et instrumental de Daniel, musicien-chanteur professionnel.

Aimer l’anagramme, c’est aimer partager, rencontrer de belles personnes autour de la piscine, d’un verre, d’une belle table, sur une piste de danse. Amis épicuriens, nos hôtes nous ouvrent leur royaume. Christine et Daniel nous accueillent dans un cadre chaleureux et reposant qu’ils ont imaginé et conçu avec goût . Une belle parenthèse où la magie opère notamment grâce aux petits plats et au sourire éternel de Christine, à la passion des mots et de la musique pour Daniel. Merci pour tous ces moments d’exception que vous nous avez offerts.

Superbe séjour dans un cadre unique
Reviewed By ccopardNous avons passé un superbe séjour avec 8 amis sur le week-end de l'ascension. Nous avons été très bien accueillis dans un cadre unique. Les locaux et chambres sont très propres et avons pu bénéficier de la grande salle commune pour nos pics nics. Très bonne table d'hôtes également.

A charming place with plenty of space and a warm welcome
Reviewed By Aurélia MWe loved the peace and quiet of this place as well as the kind and thoughtful approach from the owners. We are travelling with two well behaved but nevertheless found kittens and we were welcomed with open arms. The kids love the pool, trampoline but above all the animals on site. The location itself is so chilled and peaceful with well restored building and lovely interior design. The beds in the gite are spacious and really comfortable and the shower is powerful. Lots to do in the neighbourhood without having to ever queue. A grand place for a family in search of space and time, whilst the rest of the year often seems to hectic...

bon lieu pour se ressourcer et relacher
Reviewed By voyageuseA71je me dirigeais dans le sud de la France par l A71, un peu avant Montmarault, je décide de trouver une chambre pour passer la nuit et bien dormir pour continuer mon voyage. La chambre Chante Cristal était disponible, c'est un lieu authentique, une vieille ferme que la propriétaire rénove selon ses possibilité de l'année. J'ai reçu un bon accueil, le soleil était encore présent, j'ai pu me délacer sur la terrasse avec un thé chaud. La chambre donne sur la prairie et la montagne, pas de TV mais rien de telle pour reposer ses yeux et prendre un livre de méditation et m'intéresser au sujet. J'ai dormis comme un bébé, au calme.
