They sent me a bill for carpet cleanifor a stain/mark that was clearly older than the time frame I stayed there. After telling a few friends I have heard of other people having this happen. NEVER again

Will not be returning

Have been a regular client for many years. This trip was the worst ever. New staff in the restaurant, started by ordering the the Oven Fresh Garlic Ciabatta and asked to add cheese. The Ciabatta came without cheese. When asking staff where is the cheese. No response but still charged for the cheese. It was only $2.00 but I like cheese. Ordered two drinks the house chardonnay and a bacadi and coke. After much seraching of the fridges and paper work the staff member returned and said we don’t have a house chardonnay on the menu. Both staff on duty appeared very stuck up and could not use the computer system at all. It took 15 minutes to get the two drinks. After completion of our meal wanted to but the expence on to our room. Was told we could not do it at the front counter dispite other clients doing that at the front. Had to return to the bar. Much issues managing the computer. Refused to apply my 10% Loyality Discount Card to the cost. I have been using this card for many years without issue. There is no expiry date on the card and was given it early in my travels here as a loyal customer. Not any more. The air conditioner in the room did not cool dispite following all the instructions and trying numerous settings. The fan in the bedroom had been removed off the wall and the screws were left protruding. Without air con and a fan experieced two very uncomfortable nights. There were no windows in the room and was not safe to leave the patio doors open. There was a lot of mould in the grout of the shower. Have never seen that before here. To top off a horrible stay was the painting and sanding of the dinning room and outside eating area at breakfast time both mornings. The second morning there was a worker about 2 metres from me sanding and painting inside. To make it even worse breakfast finished at 9 am and the painters left to have smoko at 9 am. There was a smell of paint throught the main building and my wife was nearly violently ill with the fish like paint smell in the lift. The painters had also painted the carpet. Owners have let the place and staff run down and do not respect guests. They have received my last payment.

My wife and I needed somewhere to stay before and after a trip to Lady Elliot Island and were more than pleased to stay here. We found the room on each occasion to be clean and quiet with usual room inclusions plus a nice outdoor setting for breakfast, but what makes this resort different is the friendly staff, particularly Belinda and Ali who runs a great team.

Great apartment and pool for families

We stayed here for Easter for a few days. Fantastic location close to the pier next door to Oaks so lots of food options. Pool was private between ocean front and the back. BBQs to use and communal cleaning pack and tongs. Kids were happy with Foxtel. We will say car space underneath is tight and someone used our space on last day Great kitchen facilities Open and airy. Would stay again

A great place to stay

Reviewed By KellM90

We booked a three bedroom with pool views. The whole unit is extremely spacious. The photos do not do them enough justice. There is everything you could need in the rooms already. This would be a great stay for families or for couples travelling together. The deck is large enough to chill out and relax. The pool looked to be maintained atleast twice daily. We are already planning our next trip back as we enjoyed it so much there.

Fantastic experience

Reviewed By Gillian M

From the time we arrived qt the airport at Hervey Bay, Geoff the bus driver was there to meet us and ao was so friendly taking us to the ferry and managing checkin. Happy cheery fellow. The resort staff were amazingly friendly and we were met by Ranger Tim who was a fun and informative professional. Checkin was smooth. We ended up in the beauty spot tour...Highly recommended! Amazing environmental experience and Ranger Dave was very imformative and was cheerful about my 101 questions. He was also hilarious and entertaining and thatan knows how to drive a 4WD bus. Ranger Bridget knows her history and Ranger Jess took us on a personalised tour of the wetlands. The spa treatment was relaxing and worthwhile. Even though the weather was unusually cold, the spa at the pool was steamung warm and we still managed a swim in Lale MacKenzie. We did a lovely walk, however the maps are not to scale so don't hesistate to check in with staff before you go as they have no influence over the way directions are arranged by the national parks and wildlife. Do the bush tucker tasting...that was very interesting and comprehensive. Restaurant service was great...Thanks Juli and Tammy and Darcy from Canada. We would love to come back again...expectations were surpassed.
