Paradise indeed

Reviewed By jenaspineda516

I've been to lots of island vacations. Each of those getaways impresses me with their own remarkable allure. Our stay here though in Bintana sa Paraiso was majestic. I tried both their jungle snd mountain resort and each resorts boasts of their own unique charm. While cell signal is understandably unavailable because of it' location, the hotel provides modern conveniences such as wifi and cable tv. What makes up for the lack of signal is the service and accomodation of the staff. They provide such homey and personalized service. It's like being pampered by your own family. They tried yo cater to all our needs. Bryan Lopena is one gem of a find in this resort. Our Camiguin experience wouldn't have been this special if not for him. He was very knowledgeable, informative and indulgent. Through him we discovered some hole-in-the-wall nooks and interesting trivias about the island as well as some generous servings of culinary delights. He went above and beyond his call of duty to provide us with the hospitality that best represents our traits as Filipinos. Already we are rearing to return with family and friends to let them experience the same adventure we had. I'll surely go back to Bintana sa Paraiso and savor a relaxing vacation again.

Balai sa Baibai

Balai sa Baibai is a Bisayan phrase that literally means "house by the beach." It also plays on the Thai term "sabai-sabai" which means to relax and chill out. Put together Balai sa Baibai means your relaxing home by the sea, a place to rest, and recover from your busy lives. And this is exactly what we the owners, Cocoy and Elden, want you to do - sit back, relax and enjoy Camiguin.

Totally Love It

Totally love the place. We booked for 1 Villa which fits 2 pax and 3 Deluxe room which also fits 2 pax on each room. The resort is like Bali inspired resort, specially the rooms and the villa. Staff are very accommodating and friendly, they will actually welcome you with great smile aside from welcome drinks?. I love the way they will send you to your room and discuss all necessary things that you might need in the room. Though their beach is not conducive for swimming they have a nice clean pools located at the restaurant and bar where you can enjoy the water. I love the healthy vegan style food they serve in the restaurant m. They serve their fruit juices without sugar and love it so much.

Nice restaurant at the pool

Reviewed By yaughtjoh

We stayed 6 nights in this resort and I would like to highlight the restaurant they have which is pretty cool, they offer different tasty options (we tried several) and for a good price. You can sit next to the pool, on your patio watching the sea or overlooking at the sea on their terrace. Menu is on the wall but they also have additional menu with more options. The included breakfast was great and served by friendly staff. I recommend this place!

DON'T STAY HERE!

Reviewed By johnconnor1983

This Resort is the worst place to stay in Camiguin. The owners are totally bad german people and absolutely non professional...they only want your money and they will try to rip you off wherever they can! Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. Camiguin is really beautiful, but avoid to stay here. We still regret our stay here so much, it almost ruined our holiday. They will try to sell you some kind of tour/hike which is not worth the money or the will offer you a dive at their housereef. Honestly their housereef is really bad and not worth a dive. Stay somewhere else, or just take a boat to white island or wherever you want to go on your own. Don't spend your money here!!!

Best experience in Phillipines

Reviewed By katrogers76

Last minute change of plans led me here to this wonderful place. Lush gardens with medicinal aloe vera, brightly coloured and well maintained rooms on a small beach. The sun sets directly across from Kurma, lovely when you are having yoga class. The food was creative, nutritious and with options for persons wanting to eat vegan/ vegetarian/gluten. Freshly baked breads, butters and jams for breakfast, and proper coffee. Took free-diving course with the most patient and accommodating tutor one could hope for. The sites we were able to practice in were diverse, including a soda swimming pool! Most remarkable and outstanding element of this place are the employees. They truly enjoyed working together and were so social and hospitable with their time both on and off work time. Good for solo, couples, families or groups. Delayed in putting up this review, only for the selfish reason of wanting to keep this gem a haven for the future. However, it is only fair to share the love.

Perfect location - close to all the good restaurants. Real beach front property. 5-10 minutes away from the airport. Has its own private transport. Perfect Villas - Very comfortable beds, linens, blankets and pillows. Very clean place. Well stocked toiletries, coffee, tea etc. Has indoor and outdoor shower. Has a lot of area for drying clothes. Has a daybed with sofa for lounging outside your room. Unlimited water hot / cold water refill. Well stocked minibar. Has mini-refrigerator. A lot of outlets to charge your gadgets, etc. Has a blowdryer. Great heater shower. Perfect breakfast - Fresh crepe, eggs, hotdogs, hams, bread, jams, fruits, juices, coffee and my favorite, hot chocolate. Perfect owner - Jerome is the real gem of this place. A very kind, helpful and friendly resort owner. We didn't need to book from a tour company. He basically helped us book our van. Guided us and gave us options on where to go and what to do everyday in Camiguin. We stayed for 6 days and 5 nights in Camiguin. We were able to go to all the touristy places and also to unknown spots like the limasan falls for some little adventure!! He told us where to eat, which were top notch btw!! He basically HELPED us with everything!! Perfect service - the employees were very friendly and helpful. No bad attitude, always ready to help! What else can I say? When in Camiguin, stay at Somewhere Else!!

Nice hotel incompetent staff and lousy restaurant service, go elsewhere

Reviewed By ScottD79

From outside appearances this looks like the nicest hotel on the island, the pool is very nice and the location is great, however during our six night stay, we started in room 104 and after one night the floor drain in the bathroom was erupting with raw sewerage, they didn’t have a room to move us to immediately nor could they fix the problem so later that afternoon we moved to room 212, that room was in a really bad location overlooking souvenir shops at the very back of the hotel when I paid for a premium room, it also transitioned us from a king size bed to two double beds which holes were very worn, the room was hot because of the amount of sun and it was a larger room but the air conditioning unit could not keep up, the next day we were moved to room 204 which was a nice room but the hotel did not seem to do anything in a concession for that, room 204 still smelled like sewage in the bathroom but it was manageable, the service in the restaurant was horrible, they would serve you once but if you wanted to get a refill on water, it was like pulling teeth, they just didn’t come back and you had to flag them down, they added a 10% service charge to the bill so there was no incentive for them to come back, what really deserve this one star rating was upon check out, when I checked in I asked them if breakfast is included and they said no and I asked them if I could charge to a credit card when I check out in the answer was yes we take credit cards, upon checking out my incidentals and room charges were 21,000 pesos, a woman at the front desk tried to run my credit card about six times and clearly their credit card machine was off-line, I suggested that they take a picture of my credit card and run it through later and they said they cannot do that and they have no way of hand entering a credit card and I was getting late for my flight out of there, they told me I could not leave until I paid my bill in full and I said I don’t have those pesos on me and you told me you took a credit card there’s gonna be a back up plan, there was no back up plan so I said last chance take a picture of my credit card or I’m leaving I had transportation arranged, I got on a bus with my luggage and my girlfriend and we were detained immediately by their security guard so we could not leave the hotel, then as a last attempt I suggested that the hotel person come with me to an ATM, we went to two ATMs and they were also down and off-line, we were very late for our flight and had to hurry through the airport and finally the guy agreed to take a picture of our credit card we were overcharged for the taxi ride and I miserable way to exit the hotel. The staff and leader ship at that hotel should be ashamed I would not stay there again know what I recommend you do the same
