Nice reception, nice room and good breakfast. The room was big enough for the three of us. The people at the house gave us nice recommendations for eating and buying good Teruel ham. Highly recommended.

Lo Raconet de la Placa

Holiday Cottage in Calaceite, Matarranya Shire, Teruel. Very close to Beceite mountains and Motorland circuit. Its privileged location in Calaceite's historic heart,Historical and Artistic Heritage, make it a very special place to stay.We have three comfortable apartments and two sloping ceiling bedrooms to enjoy a pleasant stay.On the ground floor is the CAFE DEL RACONET

Went there in 2015, my sister lived in Cala ceite for a very long time

Great place for drinking. in the main Village square. Funky music and great company. The Village is one of the best in Spain. There is an Ibreanean Village half an hour walk from there...On a hill with great views towards the Roc of Benet

How any one can rate this hotel is difficult ! It has so much going for it and so much not ! The good side is the location to the ski slopes and the friendly owner, bar tender , receptionist , waitress , pool ( cover taker off ) and general " Jack or Jill, of all trades" The owner tries really hard and is very friendly but you have to feel sorry for her as she does try to keep the pool warn and the sauna warm , the steam room open and the spa working and warn but it is all to no avail as the people she asks to help do not have a clue and after being told the pool / spa/ sauna would be open t at 4 pm , each evening it never was ! Forget the steam room it was non existent, as was the bath plug and the central heating on one day! Plus one day the room wasn't cleaned as they thought we had stayed in the room all day ! However would I stay there again !! Most definitely ! She is lovely does not speak English but we ARE in Spain ! The food varied from good to bad ! The lamb we had the first night was the best we had tasted but the next night the meat was awful and tough ! Yes there is not much choice for breakfast but who wants indigestion when they go on the ski slopes ! The rooms were small but it is a very old area and very famous for that sort of architecture ! It wouldn't be the same if it was changed ! We love it there and the facilities never worked either , under the previous owner ! The pool is actually a little warmer than it was then ! I am giving the bad and the good but it is the best place to stay locally ,if you want to be close to the slopes and the price is good and cheap ! Well recommended although I have told you all the facts ! Typical Fawlty towers ! But well worth the experience !

Idylic

If you book this hotel you will struggle to find it and don't rely on the Sat Navs either. When you eventually find the track (it is literally a track) which takes you to this very secluded location you will wonder what on earth you have booked! However, after your 10 minute cross country expedition you will see the tower in the distance and no doubt be met by the friendly family owners. They will show you to your very rustic and very basic rooms. The wet rooms with the toilet and shower are only separated from the bedroom by a curtain, there is no air conditioning and all are reasonably small. But saying all that they have a charm that suits the building and the surrounding area which is beautifully picturesque and remote. (you cannot see the village below) After parking our bikes and sorting our rooms we sat in the garden (its a field really) and enjoyed several bottles of ice cold beer until the restaurant opened. The food is home cooked and the service excellent. The breakfasts are of a very good quality and a good amount. If you are wanting a secluded, rustic experience with fantastic views and nothing to do but drink/walk etc then you will absolutely love this hotel. Be warned the quality of the roads to get near to this hotel are very very poor and the track which leads to the hotel is in places steep and totally unmade. For any start watchers, the light pollution at night is almost zero and the views are spectacular..Would we stay again, absolutely!!
