The positives: Good communication Location New pull out sofa with memory foam Kitchen had everything we’d need for stay. Gave us a new room when the shower situation (see below) came up. The negatives: Replace things that need replacing and fix things that need fixing! If a hook breaks, put in a new one! Lightbulbs out?! Put a new one one in! Cupboard knob falls off, replace it! Exterior upkeep is awful - it’s an old FL building in an amazing location - other older places around it are kept nice and this place is just trashed! *Consider new landscape (even just weeding!) *Build a space for housekeeping items vs padlocked forget Rubbermaid cupboards strewn about. *Pool chairs are literally SCREWED into the cement and over half (yes, I counted) have plastic seats that are stripped and broken. Price for what you get: absolute nonsensical! Even for spring break/peak season. We’ve stayed in homes/condos all over FL in prime times (Christmas, winter break, Spring break) and have paid close to $1000 less for a 2 bedroom unit with balcony than what we paid for this 1 bedroom unit with 4 windows (no balcony) and a bathroom only accessible by walking through the bedroom where someone else is sleeping! So Sad. With what you’re making on customers you’d think you could put it back into it to improve things mentioned above. The icing on the negative cake was the water that started leaking and pooling under our shower creating a bubble, which will more than likely start rotting out the floor under the shower. If you stay in unit 6 beware of the fact you may fall through the shower floor if they don’t fix it!

LOCATION....LOCATION......LOCATION ;-)

Reviewed By Northportdiver

We stayed at the Thunderbird Beach Resort the third week of May 2022, and all in all we had a GREAT time. As they say when it comes to real-estate, LOCATION is everything. This hotel is situated right by the beach....it doesn't get any better than that! We were fortunate to have received a room facing the Gulf of Mexico, and the extra cost was worth every penny!!! I strongly believe that we would not have enjoyed a regular room, pool side, due to the CONSTANT traffic passing by your door and window, and the people constantly smoking in front of their rooms. The Tiki bar by the pool was absolutely delightful and we were always able to find a table or a lounge chair facing the beautiful view of the beach. ATTENTION: if you do not enjoy loud music till 10;00 pm, this may NOT be the right place for you. We are in our 60's, and absolutely loved it....the beautiful weather, gorgeous beaches, great service at the reception and Tiki bar, the paved walkway along the resorts and the FANTASTIC pizza restaurant across the street made our 3 day stay a wonderful vacation.

The Malloy was a wonderful place to stay I would highly recommend them to anyone family or single. It was close to the beach, shopping, eating. Publix store was right down the Street and we were able to walk down and get food to eat in our room when we chose.

Delightful Stay!!

Reviewed By 3794tracyg

My parents and I stayed at Satellite Motel while visiting my sister last week. We found the motel Very clean inside and out, which is very important. Prior to our stay, my brother & sister-in-law were down in the area and were able to check out the rooms prior to our stay. Thank you, Barbara for your assistance!! The Staff was very friendly and absolutely helpful. Our first experience when we arrived, we found the office closed at 5pm. We were a little nervous because we never ran into an office closed before, but thankfully a staff member (Matt) was still inside who came to the door to help us check-in and help get us settled! Thanks Matt!! Due to travelling we did not think of checking our emails for the instructions based on what to do if arriving later then 5pm...but Thankfully it All worked out!! We would Highly Recommend Satellite Motel!! A matter of fact, my mom found some couples who stay Annually and to be honest, we hope to do the same!! Thank you, Satellite Motel Staff for making our stay a delight!!

Poor customer service

Reviewed By Flfamily14

Had an issue with the booking, left a message and no one bothered to call me back. Never sent an email with instructions on how to check in or where to park which is a real issue in that area. Called three times with no answer. Stop by the office at 2 p.m. which is before booking time but when they were supposedly cleaning, and no one there. They got my money and that's all they cared about. We'll never book with them again that's for sure.

Still as good as ever!

We stayed here overnight 3 years ago and I’m happy to report it’s just as good, if not better. The units are more than well equipped and make for a very cosy, comfortable stay. There isn’t anything they haven’t thought of to provide to be honest. Literally under a minutes walk to the beach and a 10 minute walk to Johns Pass for all the restaurants and bars. Communication between guest and manager was top notch. We’ll definitely be back!

Rip OFF Buyer Beware!

Reviewed By billyburger1965

Since leaving a review on booking.com I noticed a new unauthorized charge to my credit card made by this motel in the amount of $150. When I called to inquire as to the reason for this charge I was told we ruined their counter by using the dish strainer they provided to strain dishes they provided. Then she brought up the review I left here. Obviously this was not about straining dishes on a counter by the sink. (which is where most people strain their dishes). They have lots of signage regarding things you will be charged for if you cause damage like towels being used for makeup, but nowhere is it mentioned that you should not strain dishes in a strainer they provided on the at counter attached to the sink, Nor did they ever mention to us we should not strain dishes in the strainer. This motel is obviously run by thieves trying to use any excuse they can to steal from unsuspecting customers. Not a professional way to treat customers, even those who leave opinions about your facilities. I significantly reduced my rating due the theft being attempted. IF YOU LIKE BEING STOLEN FROM this place is perfect!
