Amazing stay in Oslob
Reviewed By nirana0We enjoyed our stay in this cosy and clean room. View in the restaurant for breakfast is amazing and the staff is very helpful and friendly! They organized everything for us: excursion to see the whale sharks, scooter rental, boat transfer, etc. We definitively recommend this hotel!

Nice place to stay and relax..Facing the ocean ..Fresh air from the seabreeze..We have clean rooms with own bathroom with hot shower, flat screen TV, free Wifi, outdoor pool for adults and kids, and a floating cottage in the ocean. We are 6 km from the whale sharks, walking distance from the market and from the old Spanish church.
Disappointing stay
Reviewed By Richard LI spent 3 nights here and did not have wifi during my entire stay. There was no soap or shampoo supplied. 3 times I had no water in the bathroom. When I had water the pressure was very low. The pool was not clean so I could not use it. The location was good to walk to the town however I would not recommend.

Hidden gem
Reviewed By meredithsloaneWe stopped at Maxvir for a night so we could swim with the whale sharks and get there nice and early. The place is absolutely adorable! Right on the ocean- clean and comfortable. Immediately, the sweet woman who runs the place upgraded us to a more comfortable room for our family of four and the gentleman had the hot water ready for us (for coffee) at 3 AM! Highly recommend for one night or one week!

Good location & great owners
Reviewed By 0PhilyStayed here for three nights while in Oslob. Owners couldn’t be nicer, giving recommendations of where to eat and making sure we got on the right bus when we left. Nice small seating area outside but can get a little loud with all the coaches on the road. Easy to get to some restaurants, bus takes around 10 mins and is roughly 30 pesos but there are some other restaurants walking distance.

Great experience, stellar hospitality
Reviewed By Sarah CShout out and many thanks to the family who runs MWR pension house. Staying here was a treat and great experience. On previous reviews and their advertisement states the MWR is “a home away from home” and I couldn’t agree more. The family the runs the hotel is incredibly welcoming and accommodating. I came to Cebu with no plans and they helped me to schedule all my activities most of which I was take around by one of family members and shown points of interest, local activities/foods and recommended activities and itineraries for a fair price. Everything was very personalized. The view from my room was absolutely gorgeous as you can see from pics (I also included pics from some of the tours or points of interest I was shown/reccomended) and the location has great ocean views. They also have a nice gazebo and courtyard of which to relax or eat dinner with a view and the cutest little puppy love in the courtyard and is always up for pets and snuggles ?. There is a karaoke bar on campus with a fun and safe atmosphere. The family frequently invited me to sit down with them and eat when they served family breakfast, so I got to try some local fair along with my more western style breakfast, both of which were yummy. Thank you Mary and family for all of your kindness and hospitality.

Reviewed By 466aussiegoldfishWhen I’m in Oslob I always stay at Guillys place, it’s very clean and affordable. Kikay and the owners are so friendly and helpful, I recommend Guillys place to anyone. It’s 10 minutes away from the whale shark watching and it’s right in the suburbs of Oslob.

Amazing staff and place
Reviewed By Shayan AWe stayed here with a friend for 3 nights. It was exactly what we expected according their description. The staff is amazing, they organized for us many tours ( Tumalog Falls, whale shark, Kawasan falls ), and they have us many advises about what to visit nearby. I recommend this place to every backpackers. This only negative points was there noise by cocks early in the morning, but as a traveler you’ll certainly wake up early in the morning to enjoy Cebu.
