Fantastic location

Great stay. It wasn't as fancy as the pictures made it seem, but it was very clean and the staff was very friendly. It was also a great location. We were able to walk a lot of places without needing to pay for parking. It was a grab-and-go breakfast, but it was a much better one than we have had in the past at other hotels.

This place is decent at $60 but not worth a penny more. Important info for your stay: 1. No common areas except hallways that are filthy and smell bad. 2. Windows do not have drapes - louvers instead that are not tight - rooms are bright at night from parking streetlights and car headlights. Bring a fleece blanket and clothespins if you want a dark room. 3. No coffee or coffee maker, cups, dishes at this place. Bring a coffee maker or something if you want coffee. Common Grounds, downtown Apex is great - 5 miles. 4. Rooms smell badly, sensitive folks will freak 5. No security or hotel folks around at anytime of day 6. Hot water runs out in the morning, so get up before 7 for a hot shower

Run down

Old, I don't think it's been updated since the '80s the furniture was incredibly uncomfortable. The game room was a joke. The hot water in the rooms was hotter than the hot tub. And there's no ventilation in the rooms so when you cook the room is going to smell like whatever you cooked for days. I got it at a greatly reduced price on Airbnb had I paid the actual room price I would have been extremely pissed. Even at the reduced price I won't stay there again

Great spot along the coast to relax

Reviewed By mancinica

My wife found the Seaview Pier and Hotel on Expedia.com. It's truly a mom-and-pop operation as she couldn't reserve a room online - had to call on the phone. We were glad she did, because it was the perfect spot. Our son is stationed at nearby Camp Lejeune, so he and his family were able to join us at the beach. Wonderful day. After they left, we were able to explore the pier and beach on our own.

Second stay here is even better.

Reviewed By G1153ZTlarryc

This is a second review. I have no connection with the owner, so this is a true rave review. We stayed here for a couple of nights on our way south a few months ago and are back for one night on the way home. The first time we stayed in the smaller of the two rooms, this time in the larger room. Both are wonderful. The bathroom in the larger suite is incredible, with a separate, fantastically-appointed walk-in shower the size of some bathrooms. John is a gracious host, ready to make you feel at home. He is also an incredible architect who has restored this historic building with the most amazing care for every detail. You might notice all these little details, or you might just feel the serenity and beauty of the place. Your stay here will give you the experience that some people must have who can afford to hire an architect to design or renovate their home - there are so many little things that John thought of that only an architect would come up with:a little alcove to fit the TV perfectly, speakers in the walls with an easy connection so you can plug your device in an play your own music, recharging cables, nice, adjustable lighting that you can set however you like it... the list goes on. Every detail is well-thought-out. High quality bed linens and towels, Keurig coffee maker in the room, half and half in the fridge, a basket of snacks, a little desk in each room.... There's a whole bunch of intriguing restaurants walking distance from The Store and it's a lovely neighborhood for a walk. We walked to a great Mediterranean restaurant (Vidrio) for dinner last night. There are a few "boutique" chain hotels downtown, but even new hotels can't compare to the friendliness, comfort and charm of The Store. Seriously. Stay here. It's not really a hotel, but moe of a guest house.

Awesome!!

My husband and I were at a Chrysler dealership finding out that our van was in trouble and couldn’t be fixed till the next day. We had been in Maggie Valley on a cousins reunion over the weekend. We were stuck and nowhere to stay. We had met a gentleman in the waiting room who saw our suitcases and asked if we were in need of a play to stay? He was getting his oil changed. He us to check out a place called VedaInn on the website as he was the owner and could help us. He gave us an incredible price and so we booked. He actually gave us a ride to the Inn as there were no available car rentals, anywhere. We were blown away by his kindness and concern for us. We absolutely LOVED the room we had and the place was so easy to walk to several places to eat and shop. We had a great stay. Every detail of the room was fabulous from the bed to the air conditioner, walk in shower to the decor. The property is bordered by a running creek and there is a fire-pit with a huge area for gathering. There is a wonderful charm about it. The outside is retro but the inside is modern and awesome with all the comforts of home.Great stay for us.Thanks David! We hope to be back to stay again. God is good.?

Great Wolf Lodge

The Good and the Bad

Reviewed By Edistocreekgirl

Excellent entertainment for family. Due to restrictions at the water park, your child must be a minimum of 42 inches tall to enjoy the slides. There are toddler pools but the fun part is the slides. I suggest each child buy a “wolf pass” ., about $85. It is worth the money. Enables them to do so many activities in addition to ice cream scoop, wolf ears, and customized cup of candy. The activities are really entertaining….3D movie, mining for gems, magi quests, mini golf, arcade, atomic rush, laser gun. At night, the dance party in the lobby was fun. Free to all guests. The staff engaged the children to participate…..wonderful for good night’s sleep. Beach towels are provided at water park. You do not need more than two nights to fulfill your expectations. Rooms were acceptable. Varying sizes depending on your needs. The bad: the food. If you’ve ever bought food at a water park, then you know what to expect. Nonetheless, it’s pricey for what it is. Take your own snacks, breakfast items, maybe sandwich stuff for lunch. Refrigerator and microwave are in the room. Also, you can take your cooler into water park with your own food! Typically, I don’t do this on vacation, but the food is just that bad, plus you can spend that saved money on other things. Hot food is cold, everything tastes processed. . I would urge guests to go off campus for dinner. Yes, it would be worth the trouble. Many fast food restaurants nearby. ( However, From childrens perspective, they could care less about the food. ?). If you have small children and you are traveling as a single adult, it can be tricky getting luggage, parking car while little ones are in tow (can’t be left alone). There is no valet or luggage hold.
