Fabulous Pension with the most wonderful host!

Kayoko is the kindest, most attentive and socially engaging host I have had the pleasure of staying with. Breakfast and dinner is outstanding and excellent value. I could not recommend Pension Mutti more! Thank you ?

Nice comfortable hotel
Reviewed By Wong SWe are family x 5 stayed at room 106 from 27-28oct checked in at 4:30pm on a cold rainy day. Plus points: 1. Comfortable feeling when arrived at hotel. Atmosphere is warm, clean and courteous staff. 2. Shabu shabu dinner is tasty and breakfast spread is sufficient with good quality. 3. Room is clean though not too spacious. 4. Free ramen at 10:30pm to 11:00 pm is good for those who have 1st dinner setting. 5. Free coffee n tea at lobby area. However we felt there is room for improvement from hotel as well: 1. Since there is no lift, it will be nice for hotel to render assistance on bring suitcase to the level we stay. 2. It is first onsen hotel we stayed that housekeeper did not help to lay the 5 futons while we were eating 2nd setting of dinner. We have to help ourself to lay all by ourselves at almost 10 pm. 3. They fixed our dinner at 8 pm is really late especially on a cold raining day. One of us had very low blood sugar and she almost fainted. It will be nice for hotel to provide maybe some snack or a sandwich while waiting for the second seating at 8 pm. Overall it’s a good hotel with some autumn leaves surrounding it. Quite picturesque.

English charm meets Japanese service. Newly renovated B&B in Appi Kogen offering great service and daily western style breakfast. Close to the slopes with scheduled transportation. Wifi throughout and warm welcoming lounge area with open fireplace.
Amazing stay with great hospitality and service
Reviewed By davedomWe stayed at the white rose inn and had the most amazing stay. The pension is warm cosy and inviting. The amenities and common areas are stylishly decorated and recently renovated and having a little bar next door was the icing on the cake. Very generous and friendly hosts. We felt at home with little baby William and of course Ollie the mountain dog making an appearance. Nothing is too much trouble and with regular shuttles to and from the slopes, dinner and recommendations for restaurants the service is second to none. We had an awesome stay and will definitely return.

Reasonable hotel in Hachimantai Spas Village
Reviewed By 101ThatHachimantai Spas Village (H. Rising Sun, H. Royal, H. Resort, H. Heights, etc) is accessible via public buses from JR Morioka Station, East Gate, Platform 3. Buses run roughly on an hourly basis and cost around 1,110 Yen/person in Oct 2017. The journey takes ~90 minutes. Assistance (in English) and time-table of the public buses are available at the tourist bureau on Level 2 at Morioka Station. There is also a once/daily shuttle bus from Morioka Station to selected hotels (e.g. Rising Sun, Royal, Resort hotels) in mid-spring to mid-autumn period but these require pre-booking at the hotels. Restaurants (and convenience stores) in the Village are limited to those in the hotels. It is best to choose a room+breakfast+dinner plan or to book dinner at your hotel when you check-in. I could only find limited info on the above before my trip. Hope this helps. If you love drinks, there's unlimited free drinks after dinner at Hotel Rising Sun around the fire-place till 10+ pm. Happy hours.

Mr & Mrs Kondo provided a fantastic and authentic Japanese Pension experience. The food is an absolute stand-out, so should be mentioned again. 5 stars.

The Pension is in Hachimantai and we are operating B&B. You can skiing,snowboarding and snow playing in winter, also climbing mountains in summer. Fresh green and autumn leaves are splendid. It is highland resort which can be enjoyed through the year.

Reviewed By biwasukiいわて旅のおかげでご縁いただきました！ 子供にも優しくしていただき、オーナーの人柄が素敵でした。奥様は少し素っ気ない感じですかね。 館内は清潔で雰囲気と木の温もりがいいですね。 お部屋は床暖房でぽかぽかで幸せ。貸切お風呂の脱衣所とか場所によっては少し寒かったかな。 お食事は同じ八幡平なら木いち○荘さんには及ばないものの、フルコースをとても美味しくいただきました。パンも岩魚も安比舞茸のスープもとても美味しかったです。 大人には美味しい香辛料ですが、ものによっては子供が食べられず残念そうでした。 子供が大きくなり、スキーなどを楽しむようになったらまたお伺いしてオーナーにいろいろ教えていただきたいですね。あと少し安ければ常宿にもなりそう！！ 冬のスキーや夏のテニスなど楽しむ方にはお勧めです。
