Reviewed By williamlN2623EZI have nearly a million IHG Rewards points and thought I'd use the opportunity during an extended stay in Taipei to experience the Regent. Boy, was I disappointed! The Hardware: The hotel is really running on its restaurants and retail spaces. The neglect to the rooms is very, very visible. The hotel's common areas are updated, however, many of the rooms and floors are really, really dated, and musty. The sauna/spa (part of the health club) is also very, very dated/old-fashioned. t is very, very disappointing, and quite frankly, shameful to be part of Regent. The website is extremely misleading as to the facilities. Parking is limited, and management does nothing to address the situation. The parking attendant show extreme apathy towards staying guests who need to park. There is only one (1) tiny elevator that serves the 5 floors which are the parking floors, the retail shopping floors, and restaurants and lobby floors. That's just poor planning and management. The Software: Housekeeping staff is the best part about this hotel. The restaurant staff is efficient but impersonal. The front desk setup is extremely confusing. The staff does not care about your IHG Rewards elite status as I am a Spire Ambassador and was not treated as such. Definitely not the kind of service you'd expect from a "luxury" or "five-star" hotel.

In general, this hotel is recommended to travelers who plans a short trip to Taipei. 鄰近捷運站，交通非常便利 一入門櫃檯人員非常熱心動作也很快速，甚至有跟我們討論行程且建議交通方式 房間整理得很乾淨，尤其在COVID期間，這點至關重要 最後感謝可愛的Shenny幫我們安排這次入住，感覺體貼入微 最後，這間旅館非常推薦給商務旅客或是有短暫停留需求的旅客！

I doubt if anyone would have to go out for snack at night though, since they provide ppl constant noodles. The room itself is clean and tidy. So gonna come visit some other time♡ 陽台眺望出去的風景很美. 櫃台人員Cate很可愛，提供了很貼心的服務，例如提供我們泡麵當宵夜~ 飯店地點很方便，附近很多美食美酒。房間乾淨整潔，一定會再回訪！

We've wanted to stay here a few times when in Taipei and we were both glad that we finally got to! The staff was attentive and courtious, the room very spacious and comfortable and the buffet breakfast was delicious!I did not use the pool as it was rainy and cool when we went but I did use the gym and enjoyed the views while running on the treadmill. The hotel did not disappoint and I hope to stay there again soon!

Reviewed By arielalbegFirst time noticed and decided to try this relatively new Hilton sitting convenient near everything I needed access to, MRT, bars, stores and restaurants. The staff was very friendly and professional, which was rather appreciated especially during these odd times (pandemic). The room was very clean, neat and comfortable. The only thing that’s not great was that the window of the room was facing the windows/balconies of a residential building. (What sits between the two buildings is just a small alley.) So, curtains need to be closed most of the time, if you care about privacy, especially when you have lights on. Other than that, it’s a great hotel. （剛才發現規定寫50個字不能是英文字 ?… 簡單說, 一切很好, 非常乾淨, 人員很親切專業, 旅館位置非常方便, 將來會再選擇這裡.)

Reviewed By KevinPThomMy wife and I recently stayed at the hotel for our 3rd time in 2 years. it's a nice hotel, in a great part of town, with comfortable & relaxing rooms and friendly staff. This was a 3D/2N getway for us and it was perfect! Won't hesitate to book again!

Also having natural lighting in your room is just better overall. The breakfast tends to be quite lackluster so I’d recommend saving your 200ntd and finding a nice brunch spot nearby.The breakfast was half an egg, orange piece and a strange sandwich. It’s centrally locates so you can take the bus/MRT to Da an Park or go see Taipei 101. Many fun things to do. The staff are all quite friendly except for one thin woman who tends to have bad days and takes it out on friendly customers. The larger staff were all very friendly and professional. Overall this chain is great despite having one negative worker. (To the hotel: try to improve your breakfast options. Give more of a larger portion traditional English breakfast with 2 eggs, toast/ham, cereal, bacon. Also make sure staff are feeling at least neutral or positive. Customers are smart and can tell when someone is negative or simply not trying, it can dramatically affect someone’s stay. Reward the staff that are bright and showing positive leadership). Reviewed By backpacker31I’m partial to Japanese accommodations and their amenities, so when I found out that the Japan-based Sunroute hotel chain had a location in Taipei, I decided to give it a try. I’m glad I did. This hotel ticks all of the boxes commensurate with a typical Japanese business hotel - comfortable bed, writing desk, ample storage, flat panel television, fridge, free toiletries (replenished daily), hot water kettle with tea included and the all-in-one Toto brand bathroom which includes the most civilized Washlet toilet. This 10-story hotel is located on a major thoroughfare, yet external noise is barely audible. All modes of transportation are within steps from the hotel - buses, trains/MRT and taxis. There is an attached Japanese restaurant as well as a small cafe in the lobby. Within steps of the hotel are countless cafes, restaurants and the ubiquitous convenience stores. The staff is exceptionally courteous and professional. The housekeeping staff does an excellent job maintaining and cleaning paying close attention to detail. I’ve been here for a week now and virtually every staff member knows me and treats me like a well respected guest. I’m happy to call Hotel Sunroute Taipei my home while in the city. Upon forthcoming visits I will not hesitate to stay here again.
