Good room, good amenities
Reviewed By RoadWarrior71Overall, we had a good stay. The room was fine and the location seemed safe. The breakfast got a little crowded because the burritos and egg/meat biscuits needed to be microwaved and there was only one microwave. It turns out that the rooms have microwaves so if they had put up a reminder sign that guests could microwave these items in their own room, it might have solved the problem. There were a lot of individually wrapped items - perhaps this was because of COVID. The water in the pool was a little cold but the chlorine level was manageable (no goggles needed). The hot tub wasn't very hot but worked. The lady checking me in seemed to have a wooden expression and not much in the way of personality. She also didn't volunteer the fact that I needed a separate pass to get into the pool/hot tub area. When making the reservation, there was an option of getting an "executive" room for $10 more. But I couldn't figure out what you got in an executive room. I think it refers to rooms in the building adjoining the pool. So the advantage is that you have direct access to the pool/hot tub area (vs. walking across the parking lot), and a balcony or patio. There is no on-site fitness room. You have to obtain a pass from the front desk to a nearby 24 hour fitness location about 4 blocks away. I consider this a good family friendly hotel as it has no casino and no smoking. And the location is good, there are options within walking distance. The room we had also came with a good size refrigerator, larger than the typical hotel room one. And it had a microwave - that's something you don't see too often.

Reviewed By Ed HVery pleasant stay. Appreciated the refillable soap dispensers in the shower (less plastic waste ? in this plastic disposable society). The kitchenette with utensils and a full size refrigerator was a plus. - thank you. Beds were very comfortable and room was very clean. We will certainly be back on our next trip.

Reviewed By Road769244It's a modest motel on a side road that was cute and comfortable. Great place to stay on a a budget. Front desk guy was very friendly and helpful. As a solo traveller I felt safe there. They have a chair and small table in front of the room for some fresh air.

Defintely Satisfied
Reviewed By Ken FAs other reviewers have mentioned this motel has a modest outward appearance but ownership has put a lot of effort into updating the rooms. Our room was well appointed and very clean. The staff was very helpful with ideas for restaurants and the takeaway breakfast selection in the lobby was surprisingly good. For the price this is a great place to stay as others have mentioned.

Great low-cost and clean Hotel!
Reviewed By f2cattleThe folks at the counter are always great, friendly and help you out in any way they can. The rooms have always been clean just wish there was a pool out back somewhere not a big pool but maybe a small one just to jump in after a long day on the road.

It’s only 9:30pm, but the bed felt perfect and sort of caresses the body. The next thing I know it’s 6:30am. I am going to find out the manufacturer.

Under new management. Recently renovated hotel with new furniture, bedding, flooring, flat screen TV's and much more. Within a 5 minute walk to numerous restaurant and bars. Located 3 minutes from the Winnemucca Travel Center and casinos.
Dumpy and worn out

Carpets worn and stained, side entry door from parking lot has crumbling door mat and concrete, parking lot is about 10 years past a resurfacing, room windows dirty (moisture stains inside double panes), pool area covered with big dirty tarp. Reservation said bottled water was available but none in room. I had to ask for it and they acted like it was a huge favor to get me a bottle of Costco water. For a few dollars more there were other much more up to date places to stay in Winnemucca.

Noisy
Reviewed By rkscsmithWas going to be arriving late evening so just needed some place to sleep. The local hotel we usually stay at was full. We tried the Regency. Parking lot is not friendly for pickup with bike rack full of bikes. Had to leave bikes attached since room is very tight. Did not get much sleep due to lots of traffic noise. Sirens, motorcycles with loud pipes, and other noise from adjacent roadways. Cable did not work had to go to office and wait for them to come up and reset cable box.
