Classy hotel with friendly and helpful staff
Reviewed By Mark WCommunication with the Prince Waikiki was first rate. They were always offering to help us with anything we needed. Staff always friendly and pleased to offer assistance. We had a wonderful stay and especially enjoyed our bidet with heated seat! Only negative were the too soft pillows-could have used firmer ones. Great experience.

Reviewed By JillylovesMarkArrived at hotel to large queue going outside of door. It was only staffed by 2 girls, who spoke very little English. We were given a tiny room with double bed, view was of a group of palm trees, which was almost upon our little Balcony.. Feel Very Let down, it was like a students hostel, nothing worked, building going on, The advertising for this hotel was misleading, our feet got dirty walking on the floor, as the stain was coming off and onto our feet. We were disturbed by lots of noise being by the sauna and Swimming pool entrance. This was our once in a lifetime holiday in Honolulu, We envied the people in the hotel over by Waikiki Beach!!

Only the view was worth it
Reviewed By Z3407QEjmView good, location good, beachfront access. I was so excited to stay here only to be highly disappointed. The front desk staff were not that welcoming. Our room had broken outlets, broken mirror with tape on it, large stain on desk chair, toilet smelled, few pillows smelled--like that disgusting old musty sweat smell, dirty cups even though it was wrapped in plastic! The housekeeper turned AC off one of the days so the room was really hot when getting back after a long day. The pools close at 8pm which is ridiculous because you're on VACATION and I'm sure most people would agree on keeping it open a little longer considering the $50 per day resort fee. Most days, we explored Oahu, so we got back to resort late...would've been nice to jump in the pool after a long day. There's also a $45 per day parking fee if you self-park. Any equipment on the beach or reserved equipment at the pool had a fee. Homeless people were camped out on their beach. There weren't any convenient snack/coffee areas that stayed open late at night. So, what good is this resort fee. No one ever mentioned that there were complimentary fruits/snacks for breakfast. We even asked at check in if breakfast was free....this is the moment when the check in staff could have kindly informed us about the complimentary fruits! It would have really made this stay a little better. Since they said no, we just never went to that area. Lastly, we heard fireworks on our last night. No one mentioned anything about fireworks! Our room was to the side, so we could only see a tiny bit of the fireworks. I was actually finishing showering so by the time I got out, it was about done. It probably would've been a spectacular sight over the water, but no one mentioned this at all! This was my first time in Hawaii, was super excited about this resort, spent lot of money not just at this resort but on these islands (we also explored Big Island prior to Oahu), but I just came home feeling bummed about not getting my money's worth at this resort, so I will not be staying here again nor recommend it.

Loved it!! One of the Best in the Area
Reviewed By squinnmanWow!! The Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort and the surrounding area were absolutely stunning. This hotel property is newly renovated and has some of the best customer service. All staff make an effort to address you (even by name) when they can. The rooms are very clean. The pool area and restaurant was clean and well-staffed. We were fortunate enough to have an ocean front room, so yes, the location is unbeatable and the room was awesome. It’s the people that make this resort the very best in the area. As a guest, your presence is consistently acknowledged with warmth and gracious hospitality. You can tell that they really appreciate having you, and that they will do whatever they possibly can to make your stay completely enjoyable. Voyager 47 lounge upgrade is worth it if you can get it. Looking forward to The Monkeypod Kitchen opening which will sit right on top of the stunning oceanfront beach. Can’t wait to return!!

Older Hotel but Eco Friendly
Reviewed By Sarah GWe enjoyed the complimentary reusable water bottles and bag, along with filtered water stations throughout the hotel at every ice machine. The bathroom had a detachable shower head for rinsing the sand off of your feet, and there was a bidet equipped to the toilet which was another eco friendly amenity. Beds were firm, pillows deflated, slept ok. The paint was chipping, the carpets old, the hotel had loud doors, and the elevator shook and was a thrill-ride experience each time. Staff seemed nice, great location across from the beach and near the international mall. Not much for food, but again, the mall is a quick walk away. The pool was a bit cold, but a good way to cool off if you're done in the ocean. I think we will choose to pay a little more next time and stay at a beach front hotel verses returning to the Hyatt Waikiki.

Honeymoon
Reviewed By Celsa DWe stayed at Vive for our honeymoon. The hospitality was great, particularly with the valet. The added bonus was having breakfast at the hotel each morning. Great location slightly away from the crowds but only 3 blocks from the beach and close to restaurants, shops, etc. The only comment is that the air conditioning units in the room are quite loud but are certainly necessary. We stayed in the king suite which was a really good size and comfortable bed and furniture with a large walk in shower. I would definitely recommend this place due to the location, the value and the service.

Reviewed By Deanna AWe was come to Hawaiian Wedding Anniversary may 2022 and stay Outrigger Waikiki Resort 2 weeks Both have Medical problem with legs , so most stuff was polite, help full, very nice May 27, Friday --11. 20 a.m we check out room and ask Bellman help bring our 2 luggage from lobby to car Main Street Kalakaua Ave ,where our Lady Friend come pick us up to driving to airport Bellman --Jiro Kim come -- put our luggage to stroller ,we pay him tips He bring our 2 bugs --to Main Street - leaving in curbs to street --and we ask put luggage to car , then Jiro Kim start yelling , say its driver job carrying luggage to car , not his job, We try explain --its not comercial transportation, just Lady Friend , plus we pay you tips ready for carrying our luggage to car , He keep yelling < " next time take taxi --driver will help you with luggage -its not my job :" We ask return tips, You not doing Your job !!! Jiro Kim just leaving us -- like nothing happen we both have problem w walking --was meed carrying our luggage to car , be course must go to airport We want Management look How stuff treat Hotel Guest Bellman ,Service --Jiro Kim--- rood, just want tips --not do regular Bellman job

Reviewed By Explore553205Perfect location! A bit dated. Terrible remodel of shower/bath. It sounds like the tub is snapping when you stand in it. Otherwise it was clean and perfectly situated in downtown Waikiki. We had three rooms with nine family members. Everyone had a great time.

Reviewed By mqcarrNice clean hotel right across the street from Waikiki beach, which is awesome! Pool is small for such a large hotel and can be very crowded, so there was no available seating. What made our stay great was the Longboard club access, which was an additional fee but provided breakfast and essentially dinner every day. They are open from 6-10 am and 4-8 pm, you can go in as many times as you want or stay the whole time. Lots of options for breakfast and coffee. In the evening they serve as much beer or wine as you want along with 1 cocktail per person and a whole bunch of "appetizers" which were enough to be a full meal. The staff there waited on us and were amazing. Totally made our stay here worth it.
