Reviewed By Turner SThe hotel is convenient because of the bridge connecting to the Célestins Spa. The hotel is quite nice and looks to have had recent improvements. I didn’t eat at the restaurant but it looked rather fancy. I did enjoy the bar and the terrace. On Saturday night they had live music in the bar. Pleasant surprise. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. My one improvement would be admission to the spa when staying at the hotel rather than just a discount for a spa pass. The spa is good but not as big as it looks.

The situation of the hotel is perfect, close to the center of town. It is truly a charming place: the reception, the restaurant, or the rooms make you feel like you'd go back one century back in the past... with the right touch of modernism!

Excellent Covid precautions. Comfortable hotel.
Reviewed By Genuine-traveller123We chose this hotel because of the positive reviews of Covid precautions. As a family very badly affected by the disease this year, this is an important factor for us. The systems at the hotel were excellent with screens at reception, staff wearing masks, hand sanitiser at the doors and elsewhere, and well spaced out tables in the breakfast room. Breakfast was served to you. Our only query would be whether some windows could be opened to allow fresh air into the breakfast room as the air got a little stale. The hotel is well located in the city centre near the river, and with secure parking. The room was spotless. We have now stayed twice, and we will return.

The Ibis Vichy hotel is right in the centre, 500 m from the Convention Centre. Linked directly to the Callou spa centre, only 100 m from the Dômes centre, the hotel offers its guests fitness packages and cures. It has 106 air-conditioned rooms, including 4 for disabled guests, a restaurant, a bar serving snacks 24/24, private covered parking and 4 meeting rooms. Wifi wireless Internet access for guests on a business trip.
Much better than a normal Ibis rouge
Reviewed By Kenneth SThe guest rooms in this hotel are a much better size than you would normally find in an Ibis. I take the view that Accor probably bought the hotel from another operator, and that it was not built as an Ibis. As a result, there is adequate wardrobe space and the bathrooms are not cramped. The hotel has a good restaurant. In good weather, outside seating is available. The hotel has underground parking which is chargeable. At the time of my visit, this was costing €7.50 per day, which strikes me as reasonable for Vichy. There was plenty of space in the parking, there were no difficult or unsatisfactory access ramps. In addition, the elevators go down to the parking levels, which facilitates easy transfer of luggage on arrival and departure. I experienced some problem with internet access during my stay, but fortunately, it was short lived. If I return to Vichy, I may stay at this Ibis again.

Our hotel is situated in the city center, at a walking distance from the thermal baths, the opera, and several parks and shops. The hotel is only 400 meters from the train station.You will find many restaurant at walking distance from the hotel. The hotel offers wireless internet access and an internet access downstairs in the living room.An access card to a private car park is available at the reception for only 2€ by night.
Great for a stopover!

We had our car with us, it is very easy to park, just next to the hotel there is a public parking garage which is quite cheap. The hotel has a great location, very central. The rooms are nice and clean, a bit small but for a short stay still very convenient. The room seemed newly renovated, bathroom and bedroom were nicely equipped. Would stay here again!

During your stay, you can also enjoy the hotel’s bar to sip classic but also innovative drinks. Right in front of the building, there is an outdoor parking, and there is an underground parking underneath the building. Both of them are public, not included in the price of the room. If you want to organize a meeting, a seminar or a conference, the hotel offers multiple types of conference rooms.
Hotel that needs an urgent facelift both inside and outside

The rooms have a dull 70's style and the carpets are badly stained in several places giving an extremely distasteful impression. The breakfast is insipid with dry cold cut meat and no fresh bread. You don't feel very welcome. That this hotel is classed as a 4 star hotel is a mystery. Fortunately not all Mercure hotels are like this. No, we will not get back to this hotel again

Charming old style hotel
Reviewed By JoachimP428Charming grand old dame type of hotel with a few blemishes but with the grandeur of the past to some extent still there. Nice breakfast buffet and pool area. The rooms are spacious and the location next to the opera excellent. The hotel is however in need of a full overhaul and is a bit run down.

Great staff and location... and that’s it

While the staff was really nice, helpful and accommodating and the hotel ideally located in the city center, the hotel itself doesn’t deserves 2 stars and the 60€ price tag. The bed was not comfortable and small (120x190!!), there was no sound isolation. We could hear the water “running” from other rooms, people talking next room or the corridor, the street, etc. The bathroom was straight out of the 70’s. Internet was actually slower than our 4G and while we assumed parking was free as stated initially it cost us an additional 8€. If we come back we will definitely not come back and stay at a more luxurious hotel.

Centrally located budget hotel in need of a makeover
Reviewed By john dThis hotel is very tired and needs a makeover. That said for a late arrival with no booking the bed was comfortable and good cotton sheets. The room itself was a decor mess and with the bathroom is overdue for modernisation. Very 70-'s bathroom made worse by a shower over the bath and not even a grab handle. No toiletries but for a small packet of soap. The location is perfect however for visiting Vichy, very central with the Thermal Spa and belle epoque garden nearby. Big plus is secure underground garage next door and the Manager (owner?) could not have been more charming and helpful

The perfect hotel
Reviewed By EricC_1974This is the kind of hotel that cannot be praised enough. It´s nothing fancy, but the attention to detail shows the dedication of the lovely family that runs it. A very clean room, a good bed, a nice shower with soap and shampoo that were selected with just that little bit more love than in other places, a simple but good quality breakfast: everything is just right. Together with the modest price it makes Riviera the perfect little hotel for a stay in Vichy.
