Reviewed By terrya443We spent 6 days in this lovely hotel in a beautiful area of Val de Boi. The hotel is family-run so there is an element of comfort and ease. The rooms are modern, quiet and comfortable and impeccably clean. We chose the media-pension regimen so enjoyed copious breakfasts and a varied menu in their excellent restaurant. The area offers many opportunities for walking and visiting Romanesque churches and quaint towns. We will return.

The wifi connection was good everywhere in the hotel. The hotel is located in the town so you can walk everywhere. Finding a spot to park your car is very easy.

Excellent hotel, picturesque village, great food
Reviewed By ossie666I have no idea why this is rated a one-star hotel. We took six rooms (a third of the hotel...), all of them were good. Comfortable bed, completely renovated bathrooms, all basic amenities, fantastic view. We were greeted by Chavi, who served as receptionist, concierge, maitre d', and everything else. At his suggestion, we took advantage of the game room and the two terraces for "family gatherings". Breakfast was good. Dinner was superb - local dishes, excellent quality. The church next to the hotel, Santa Eulalia d'Erill la Vall, is a UNESCO heritage site and worth a visit. Five minutes drive from entrance to Aiguestortres park (and maps and recomendations of trails were also provided by the hotel). Would love to come back for the "Fallas" festivities next year, and definitely stay here again.

Comfortable and Convenient
Reviewed By Travelling_AxeThis Albergue is located in the centre of Vall de Boi, in the small village of Barruera. It's right on the main highway that runs through Vall de Boi, but it's quite quiet, as there is limited traffic through the area. The village has a few restaurants, all within a couple of blocks. Parking is readily available on the street. There is also a small Romanesque church in the village (the church is only open in the mornings). This location is ideal for day trips by car to see the other villages and churches in Vall de Boi. They have a couple of buildings. Ours was across the street from the office. We had a room with a small balcony overlooking the main street. The room was comfortable, though a bit small and rustic. There was only 1 power outlet, and it was situated behind one of the pillows on the bed. So, this made it impossible to use at night. The balcony was above the area where people smoked, so fumes were an issue. Some of the villages in the Vall de Boi are quainter and more walkable.

Reviewed By UkusinAt first glance apartments are very nice and welcoming. Very roomy and well equipped. Main problem is the shower. Very small and issues with the hot water that comes and goes. Staff is very nice but with significant language problems (if you are mot speaking spanish) only the girl speaks English, the others not even a little. You can get a one hour family private spa which includes a Jacuzzi and sauna. Nice but not very clean. Hotel has a playing area for kids tgat includes ping pong fooball and Billiard. Boi is a whole is quite forsaken which I found surprising as its one of the two starting point for Auiguastores. Village is tiney with very few restaurants. Hotel is 1 min walking from the Auiguastores taxi service

How every hostel should be!
Reviewed By 868edStayed here on my own in the second week of September, which was very quiet. The hostel's location is ideal as a base to explore NP Aigüestortes's west side. The rooms were very clean and cozy with a modern bathroom, lockers and a nice view of the town and valley. The staff was very friendly and provided hiking information. Breakfast was very decent and included local products. Great experience!

Lost its way
Reviewed By mikerosenberg2201I have stayed at Boi Taull Resort a number of times over the years and have taken my family to the Apartments since my girls were children. The rooms are simple, clean and comfortable but the management seems to have allowed the family nature of the place slip away. We will not be going back. On New Year's Eve we were next to a group of young adults (mid twenties maybe) who partied hard unitl 4:00 AM making it impossible to sleep. One could argue that it was a special night but this group was only at the place for 24 hours and only came to party. Two nights later the room was occupied by professional rugby players who were literally wrestling at 1:00 Am! In the past, the only sound you would hear in the lace was a baby crying. It is really a pity that the current management has not kept the family nature of the place. The hotel is an easy 10 minutes drive from a great, small ski station which is again great for kids and still has a few challenging runs for adults. An added problem is that the new boilers in the rooms are badly adjusted so that the water never really got hot even though we had the mtc. techs in twice. The problem has to do with the freezing cold water which comes in from the street. The entire complex was on the verge of bankruptcy last year but rather than fixing things, it seems the management is just letting it keep running. The only bright spot is that many of the staff members are truly nice people and did their best for us although one got the feeling that they were doing more out of their own sense of service than any support from management.

Reviewed By aserffStayed with my family (wife and 3 years old daughter) in a triple room and was everything great. The rooms are super clean and tidy. Renovated bathrooms perfectly cared throughout the days we were there. Besides that, the most important thing, the staff of the hotel is absolutely amazing, they treat you like family. So nice and kind at every moment of our stay. Lastly, but no least, the food. You wouldn't expect to have such great food there and the food is really good. Their meat is great, soups and everything else. Great breakfast as well. Oh, yes, the location is great. Very central and walking distance to everything, and about 10-15min to Boí Taüll Ski Resort. Thanks a lot for everything! We´re definitely going to be back.

Charming, small, clean guest house with views and helpful management
Reviewed By Discover48962464413This small hotel is absolutely charming. It has only four rooms and we came off-season so it was quiet. Antonia, the manager, Is extremely helpful and plied us with maps and restaurant recommendations. We came to walk in the national park and enjoy the fresh air and we loved coming back after hiking and sitting in the garden reading and looking at the view. The rooms are small but have everything (wooden hangers) and are impeccably clean. There’s a nice living room with a fireplace. Breakfast is served on the top floor and is generous with homemade cake, bread with tomato, cheese, cold cuts, fruit, yogurt and omelette . We took our leftovers to eat for lunch while hiking. Hiking is easy as you drive to the national Park and there’s a taxi service in to where the walks start. There are also plenty of villages with medieval churches to visit. It took us four hours to drive here from Barcelona airport. I know Spain well but not this lovely corner of the Catalan Pyrenees. I highly recommend.
