Quite pleasant

Reviewed By babydollq

We found the accommodation quite pleasant though a little less cosy than what we normally would like. Dare I say a little sterile. When we arrived we were greeted very warmly certainly a lovely touch of customer service that seems to be lacking often. The room is pretty basic but very clean. Unfortunately, they have not given much consideration to tea making facilities. The kettle was really scummy inside and should be replaced, the tea bags were so weak even 2 tea bags did not suffice. The bathroom is super small which in itself is ok but there is nowhere to put your toiletries. Also, it could do with a little more love to remove mould. All in all though for a short stay it is pleasant enough but for long stays, I think it would be a poor option.

Great, affordable dog-friendly accommodation!

Reviewed By GillianC1348

We stayed in a 2 bedroom, dog-friendly cabin for the weekend. It had everything we needed for a comfy stay, linen and towels supplied, air-con for those cold mornings and a super comfy bed. The cabin had a gated verandah if we’d wanted to sit outside with our dog. Plenty of area to walk the dog around the park. The cabins are in a cluster away from the main road, we had no traffic noise like a previous reviewer. We can’t comment on the kids’ fun facilities as we didn’t have kids with us but they looked pretty impressive. No shortage of barbecues, they’re dotted all over the park. Have booked to stay again.

We spent a night here recently and were happy with the motel. This is a good clean fairly basic motel in a good location close to everything in town. The staff were friendly and the motel looked like it had a recent paint. Recommend staying here for a night or two.

7 nights with Family

Reviewed By macland

Stayed with 4 family groups. 2 set had their caravans, 1 set had a cabin with a large veranda and we had a cabin. We used the cabin with the large verandas as our base. The cabin had water views and a large grassy area for the kids to play. We loved the daily activities provided by the park some at an additional cost. Face painting, plaster painting, outdoor movies. The afternoon we arrived there was a Woodfire Pizza van parked next to the cabin which was very handy as it was raining and we didn’t have to go anywhere to get dinner. The pool, water park, jumping pillow and playground were great to keep all the kids entertained. The cabin was very convenient for us all but did get very windy. Our cabin had lots of trees and birds that kept dropping dropping on our car. When we moved it we were asked to move it back. We had to wash our car a few times at a car wash which was a little annoying. Our bed was also uncomfortable and squeaked every time you moved. Overall the stay was good but made better that I got to spend time with my family I hadn’t seen in 4 years. I would recommend.

This hotel goes above and beyond and is a wonderful little tropical retreat hidden away in Ulladulla, check in was very personalised and very efficient, a glass of sparkling wine after a long drive, fabulous recommendations about local food and walking tracks and attractions, very good knowledge. The room was a great size with the most comfiest hotel bed I have slept on. Well maintained and very clean. The bathroom was also very clean and a large size. The pool was well maintained and refreshing with the local wildlife. Can’t wait to come back

Sandpiper Motel

Sandpiper Motel is a family run motel in the heart of Ulladulla. During the Covid-19 shutdowns in NSW we used our time wisely to completely renovate all bathrooms, upgrade the suite decor , make improvements to our facilities and best of all, ALL suites now have new beds, new blankets, new pillows and new bedspreads. Any reviews prior to NOV 2021 should be now disregarded as they are obsolete. We still provide free WIFI, games , books & DVDs available at reception. We took out the pool but have created a lovely grassed area suitable for playing (bean bag toss game), relaxing at the picnic tables, cooking up a storm at the free BBQ or toasting marshmallows at the fire pit. Any guests wishing to travel to the Whale/Dolphin cruises in nearby Jervis Bay get a 20% discount just for staying here. Ulladulla is a haven for beach activities as well as bike riding (we have e-bike hire on site), hiking ( check out Pigeon House Mountain) shopping in the boutique townships of Milton to the North or Mogo to the South. Health therapies such as yoga by the beach and a new Floating Tank facility nearby (Shoalhaven Float) will surely get you feeling very relaxed & revived. Add to that the numerous award winning restaurants and wineries nearby and you will realise that Sandpiper Motel is the perfect Hub for your next adventure. We pride ourselves on offering Clean, Affordable Comfort and look forward to welcoming you to Ulladulla

Ugly in Ulladulla

Reviewed By taninoz369

Please look elsewhere for a property in Ulladulla, there are quite a few nice little motels; so be sure to book ahead, this is such a petty town. But don’t stay here; our experience was that the property is in urgent need of repairs and really noisy, only managed about four hours sleep; plus they allow smoking outside of the rooms; even encourage it with ashtrays on each table setting. Terrible if you suffer from sinus or asthma, as in our case. Negatives we experienced: Rundown and noisy and damaged Torn curtains Ripped blankets Old dirty feeling carpet Bedside light flickered on and off; despite being plugged in and turned off (plus only one bedside light available instead of two) Room very dark, not enough lighting Fridge didn’t close properly, didn’t keep anything cold Cracked Power point in bathroom Broken tiles in bathroom Very noisy,no double glazed windows. Property is right on highway, and couldn’t sleep due to noise of trucks braking outside Slight breeze at night; something was loose on the side of the building or roof and was flapping in the wind most of the night This property needs repairs/ renovating ASAP, especially where tiles are broken in the bathroom. Could be quite dangerous ; potential cuts

As some hv mentioned, small room, sink in main room, it has had a refurb in bathroom and bedroom, remote check in however no issues. Appreciated the microwave, and basic cutlery and crockery. I would hv liked a toaster as well. The motel outdoor property lights didn’t come on, I was particularly careful when reversing to go into town in evening. Clean. AC worked. No maintenance issues. I would hv liked to see a friendly staff too. Thankyou
