Wonderful staff

Reviewed By Lusion1

This is a beautiful boutique style hotel. The guy who greeted me when I checked in was positively the best. I wish I remembered his name. The Room was a nice size as was the bathroom. The location is right next to the highway allowing access to anywhere. There are also plenty of nearby restaurants, QuikTrip, a Walmart, and even a casino. The breakfast was average. I wasn't impressed. I would have liked to see more fruit options. And the eggs could been better. But overall average. I had two times where I called on the staff for assistance and in both cases it was the guy that greeted me came to the rescue. I had a remote that didn't work. He ran one right up. And I wanted some fresh towels and he took care of that quickly as well. The only reason I didn't give it five stars was due to the average breakfast and I didn't have any cleaning service during my three day stay. Beyond that it was great and I would stay there again.

Stay was good!

We stayed here for 1 night for my grandsons baseball tournament in Jenks. This location wasn't too far. We picked this hotel because it was a bit cheaper than the ones in Jenks and it had good reviews. The bed was really comfortable as were the bedding. Had a sitting area which is always nice. Larger bathroom vanity which is nice. The location is good and easy access on/off I-44. Good TV channels with cable. Internet seemed slow so I just used my hotspot. They need to extend the daily breakfast times. 9am is too early especially on weekends. The A/C works good although ours was noisy! Seems there could be some kind of an adjustment for it or something! Overall we would stay here again.

Nice location

Dated room, without USB ports, staff wouldn’t let us drop off luggages in front of lobby when we decided to self park, so we had to haul luggages from the parking lot to the hotel, which was quite a long walk and very inconvenient. We had great views on high floors, however, the windows were very dirty. It’s unpleasant to look out especially during daytime. However, the staff were very friendly. We didn’t have hot water to shower the first morning, and that was terrible. However, overall, I decided to still give an above average ratings of the hotel, for its location, friendly staff, decent room size and comfortable bed, even though my husband decided against it.

I stayed at this hotel one night. The front desk clerks were nice but did not bother to say anything about a parking charge. I found out on my credit card statement. I called when I saw the charge in the first lady I spoke to was very nice and apologetic. Never a mention about signage that I might have missed. She asked me to call the manager the next day and I did. Instead of getting the manager I got echo. She was rude and condescending and told me that her manager didn’t give her the schedule of when I might speak with her. I called Hilton tell them about my experience and to this riding all I got was the same thing that I got from the property, yeah they did not address the way I was talked to by the person when I called the second time to speak to the manager. It does seem to be an older hotel and the toilet in my room even rocked which I reported to the front desk and to Hilton. I would never stay at this hotel again. That issue could’ve been resolved easily by being treated and heard responsibly.

Great staff, large rooms

Our rooms were clean and huge, definitely good for families. Our room had some noise from the freeway, but that’s to be expected. My reason for writing this glowing review is for the staff. Leah specifically, but everybody we encountered was helpful and friendly. Leah anticipated our needs a couple of times in our short stay, which was amazing and really above and beyond. Management needs to make sure they keep her happy, she’s definitely an asset to your property.

Second stay but never again

Reviewed By MotherOfThreeDogs

Checked in for Memorial Day weekend. Pool closed with no notice. First explanation offered was that maintenance wasn't coming in for the weekend and the pool was dirty. Next day asked again and was told they had no idea when the pool was last serviced and would be 3-5 days before GM could approve use of pool. Not even allowed to sit outside at pool deck; no outdoor facilities whatsoever as a result. Desk clerk said to use the pool for the next door hotel. Enjoy your stay; our people take off for the holidays -- it's only the hospitality business, after all. Another notable disgusting cleanliness issue -- floors in common elevators (hallways, elevators) not vacuumed or mopped for two days; same trash and dirt scuffs on floors -- say hello to dirt. Decent location but a sub-quality property that has serious service and cleanliness issues. Third fail -- upon checkin was treated to a room with an incessantly barking dog next door. When I complained I was told it must be someone's TV. Of course it wasn't. Had to insist on resolution, so the staff did go to the room and confirmed yes it was a barking dog. At least they gave me another room, but I did have to move. Why not move the guests hiding the barking dog instead? Fourth fail -- lightbulb on nightstand was burned out and the remote control for the TV had a short in it and sometimes didn't work. Hey - maintenance takes weekends off.

I had changed hotels at the last minute and Hampton at Sand Springs had availability. I’m so thankful I did! My friend and I attended the Eagles concert and didn’t want to have to drive far. This hotel is within 8 miles of the BOK and was wonderful to us. Clean and friendly staff and great breakfast. All the things I look for in a hotel. They even contacted me when I left some items in the room! You don’t always get this kind of service but I was so thankful!!

Really enjoyed my stay

This is a cool hotel located in a downtown historic building. The young lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. There was no bottled water in the room, but she gave me a bottle and asked if there was anything else. She also offered free parking on the street (until 8 a.m.), or they have a garage for $16 a day. Nice to have a choice. The rooms were comfortable. You can tell the plumbing is old, but a sign says they are limited "do to the historic nature of the building." I would recommend this hotel

The Mayo Hotel

The 19-story Tulsa hotel was the tallest building in Oklahoma when first built, and the only place with ice-cold tap water and rooms with ceiling fans. The distinctive Sullivanesque style, Art Deco-era hotel instantly became a high society hub in Tulsa, the Oil Capital of the World. Oil tycoons such as J Paul Getty conducted business deals in the lobby and celebrity guests such as Babe Ruth, Charles Lindbergh, Lucille Ball and President John F. Kennedy danced in the Crystal Ballroom.

We stayed here for a friend’s wedding. They had a beautiful set up in the parlor room. The motel itself is very beautiful but a little scary if you’ve seen The Shining! The scenery & ambiance of the hallways is very similar to the movie I mentioned. But with that said & me being a huge fan of The Shining, I loved it! The bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows. The shower heads in the shower along with the water pressure was great! Be sure to take in the view from the rooftop bar! Beautiful Tulsa scene! Lots of places within walking distance!
