Amazing View, convenient location
Reviewed By FattieWI couldn’t get a hotel in Bern for a 3 day business meeting so a friend recommended looking for a hotel in Thun, and I am glad I did. It’s a beautiful hotel by the lake with amazing landscape. I stayed on the second floor in the grand lit room. My view wasn’t the lake but it wasn’t bad either. The room is big, well lit by the sun with a small balcony. Thun is 20 minutes on the train from Bern and the hotel is not too far from Thun Station. On Bus number 1, it’s the second stop. The hotel gives complimentary travel ticket anywhere within Thun. My check in was like two seconds. The hotel is quiet and lovely. The rooms do not have air conditioning but with a hotel by the lake who needs air conditioning just crack open you window or balcony door. Small fans are available in the room. There is a central ironing room so don’t except to see and iron in your room The breakfast is very basic, nothing fantastic. It was a good experience for me and I highly recommend this hotel.

Reviewed By amandapugh331In concept and execution this is just amazing. We were deliberating about staying here or something cheaper - it is worth every penny. This is truly a magical experience. We stayed in the comfort rooms and this was not a compromise. They are beautifully designed and fitted out. Enjoy looking at the ceiling panels and trying to work out how they managed to fit them so accurately and in whole pieces! The view from the window is amazing. Do not miss the spa - if a private spa including Finnish sauna and steam room is not enough on its own then again, the design and layout make it exceptional.

(And I want to notice that I was in the cheapest room sio I can't imagine the other ones !) And the staff was lovely, very helpfull despite of my weird questions in English. I encourage you to come to this hotel in Thun !

Lovely hotel in Thun
Reviewed By Sandy_DrewKWe stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in early December 2021. It is conveniently located near the Rathaus, Schloß and the riverside. It is about 750m from the train station. The reception staff were very friendly and even allowed us to check in early as our room was ready when we arrived. Our room was very spacious with a small lounge area and big windows with views towards the river and Rathausplatz which had the most magnificent Christmas tree. The bathroom was also spacious with good amenities. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of fruits, juices, cereals, breads, meats, cheeses, smoked salmon and boiled eggs and everything was fresh and well presented. We enjoyed our stay in Thun and were pleased we chose Hotel Krone and would highly recommend it.

Alpha thun hotel offers modern rooms, a 5-minute walk from Lake Thun and the marina. It includes an innovative restaurant, serving freshly-made dishes with seasonal ingredients. The wine list includes Swiss wines only, but there is at least one wine from each region. A large choice of homemade desserts, regional ice-cream variations and various coffees is served. Thun train Station is only a 20-minute walk away. The station can be reached by local bus (Line 1, Stop "Strandbad"), which stops directly in front of the Hotel alpha thun.
Practical place for a stopover
Reviewed By Peter SStopped off on our way to the Valais . Were content with our stay. Reception was friendly, beds were comfortable, parking opposite only 4 CHF for 24 hours. Breakfast was great, and we had a cup of tisane in the evening from the lobby after enjoying our meal in the hotel restaurant very much Pizza, fish bits and cordon bleu with a generous starter salad went down very well with a bottle of local wine (petite arverne) Staff obviously enjoy their job here. Would stay here again any time.

Wonderful find in Thun! Better than expected stay
Reviewed By SapphireRose88Hotel Spedition was easy to find, just around 15mins from Thun mian Station, or even faster around 5 mins walk via bus number 1 from directly outside the main station. The hotel is in a standalone building beside Coop grocery store a garden center and a cinema complex. The entrance of the hotel is via the reataurant. With regards to the room, it was new and very very clean. It also had fantastic air conditioning which was such a welcome treat as it was boiling outside. Showers and bed were fantastic. I actually stayed in 2 other 5 star hotels before I arrived in hotel Spedition and I can confidently say that the beds at hotel spedition was by far the best. I had the best night's sleep at this hotel. Breakfast was OK but perhaps just a minor feedback that it would have completed the great stay experience if the hotel kitchen offered a service where we could choose our eggs and how it was cooked. They only had hard boiled eggs. I would definitely recommend Hotel Spedition. It is one of the better Boutique hotels in Thun for sure.
