Me time

Beautiful location. 3 3 nights 3 dinners same meal , first night amazing fresh focaccia bread, 2nd night stale each night never received flatware until after meal served, each night and day reminders needed. Check in is disappointing and your barely recognized no matter what time of year or who I check in with. Spa and massage amazing. Never notified pool would be closed for all three days. Check out awful, struggled with my bags while person at check out desk watched me. I had to carry bags then go get other bags and make my way from 3rd floor end unit until front desk. A maintenance person saw me and came and rescued me. The gentleman checking me out was snide, ungracious and in the wrong business. How hard is it to find someone to say welcome or I hope you enjoyed your stay. Views, location and amenities great, don’t expect much in terms of hospitality.

Need of refresh

Reviewed By Travelwilly

Stoweflake has been a favorite for many years. Unfortunately it seems the pandemic has taken a toll. It needs a refresh of its exterior. The parking lot has many potholes and the entrance by our room has stairs that the concrete is disintegrating. The rug by the door has seen better days as has the rugs leading to the rooms. The staff at the front desks of reception and the spa seem weary at best and need to remember to be more inviting to their guests. My husband and I have been coming here for 15 years and it's always been our favorite place in Stowe. It saddened us to see it like this and for the staff to be so unwelcoming.

Stone Hill Inn

This romantic and secluded Stowe Bed & Breakfast Inn whose mission is "providing unexpected opportunities to celebrate life...together," was designed exclusively for couples. Each room has the same amenities: baths with fireside Jacuzzis for two and shower; bedrooms with king beds and fireplace. Spectacular gardens, three course breakfast with entrees individually-prepared at private tables, in-room massages for two, and a decor of hushed elegance throughout.

Loved Our 3-Night Stay

Reviewed By Tom42532

My wife and I spent three wonderful nights at Stone Hill Inn toward the end of last summer. We had the West Branch room, a large room at the far end of the building with a walkout to a small stone patio. We loved the room, and the breakfast each morning was sensational. The owners, our hosts, we very friendly and offered helpful suggestions for ways to see the area and places for dinner. Only one minor negative - the "private patio" did not offer privacy; while it could be accessed only from our room it was open to the rest of the backyard of the inn.
