Clean and Bright - VERY Bright

Reviewed By Bonnie2244

Clean and convenient to Penn State campus, overall this is a decent hotel. Traveling on business, this hotel was not my choice, but adequate for my needs. The staff was polite and very helpful. I had a room in the back of the hotel where there is a large parking lot. Maybe I somehow missed it, but I didn't see any blackout curtains - just a set of sheers bracketed by heavier stationary draperies. Being on the first floor, that meant bright car headlights and walkers right outside my window. Since I travel with clothespins, I was able to stand on a chair and clip the stationary drapes together to block out the light and provide more privacy. The AC was loud and turned on and off frequently, but I carry earplugs and slept soundly. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean.

The Graduate Hotel Checks Off

Reviewed By OSixParking

Stayed two nights, 9-11 May 2022. You want a clean, no frills, no hassle place to pull up for a rest, the Graduate Hotel is the place. Plenty of room to spread the luggage once inside. Innovative/creative to imprint student IDs onto the room keys. Would have given a five-star rating had there been two items in the room: 1) plastic/disposable cups placed in the bathroom sinks for use; 2) either a Keurig machine or a simple coffee machine (along with tea bags and instant coffee) on the in-room desk. Let's see how the hotel looks once their renovation is done as the entrance and the elevators can be more inviting and warm.

Great hotel!!!

I’m not usually a Holiday Inn person but occasionally we have to stay at one for travel hockey. That’s how we ended up at this location. This hotel is great!!!! I’d stay here again without any hesitation. The front desk staff was very friendly. The room was super clean. The beds were comfortable, the pillows are kinda lumpy though. Our room had been recently updated and it was so nice. Great layout with a decent amount of space. Enough outlets for all of our chargers. Microwave and mini fridge in a little kitchenette area. The bathroom was nice….good lighting and a walk in shower. Free breakfast was offered in the lobby. The lobby is under construction but it did not interfere with our stay at all. The location was good, too…only 8 min to campus and several restaurants walkable.

Comfortable clean friendly

Reviewed By BarkleyFamily5

When we had got there our rooms were very clean (314/316), compared to June of 2021 when we stayed. Housekeeping staff was amazing, I had a lot of bags some were pretty heavy and Nancy was very pleasant and offered to help me, and also asked if everything was good with my room when I seen her a little later that day. The entire housekeeping staff I had encountered was lovely. Hotel was clean, the gentlemen at front desk (Ryan and Christian?) was very welcoming. The reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because I was using the microwave in the breakfast area and just looking around. I got a real strong smell smoke when I went to get a cup of water, I looked into the kitchen to see if it was coming from there and there was a lady leaning against the counter (her name tag said Rory?) smoking a cigarette in the KITCHEN where breakfast for guest is prepared!?!? How unsanitary is this for a Hilton or any hotel. I know you are now pet friendly but smoking also? I understand that you can’t control all guest, but when it comes to YOUR employees? Thats very disrespectful to her manager, coworkers and employer. But what I ate at breakfast the next morning was good, but you could tell the food was cooked for awhile before it was put out.
