Reviewed By marilynm3246 problems: 1) No sink drain 2) wobbly luggage trunk 3) Parallelogram table disguised as a desk -- extremely wobbly 4) Mold and mildew so strong in shower and accessible fold-down seat -- frame black and slimy 5) Thin towels -- also yellowed. Had consistency of dish towels. NOT KIDDING 6) Mattress so saggy that I put a pillow underneath place where people sit on bed so I wouldn't roll off. Positives: AC worked great, 2) Service personnel cheerful and efficient

Reviewed By aerologyA basic older. park outside the door motel. Furniture a bit of mismash but enough for a one night stop. Clean, which is a top requirement. All we needed for overnight. Easy to find. Breakfast was basic waffle maker and scrambled eggs but was early enough for us and did the job. Price was right.

Reviewed By Linda PWe have stayed in Sleep Inns before, but this is definitely the very best of all, even better than many other brands of hotels. The first thing that caught my eye was the beautiful, double, curved staircase in the lobby. I should have investigated where it led. We reserved a king suite, which was very large and luxurious and well-appointed. The sitting area had a large sofa and matching chair with a coffee table and two end tables with lamps. The coffee bar was a triangular-shaped, lighted niche next to the sitting area. The micro and refrig were next to that. The beautiful bull-nosed countertops gave the room and bath a very luxurious feel. Bath was large and well-lit. Bed was very comfortable. Linens, curtains, drapes...everything was a cut above the rest. Definitely would return to this one.

Reviewed By jwalker506As travelers of Route 66, my husband and I, as well as our Roadie friends, love staying here! The owners are very friendly and accommodating; they also make sure their rooms are clean and comfortable! The owners know most Route 66ers LOVE neon, so we usually get to stay upstairs, facing the U Drop Inn and it’s beautiful neon. The owners recently repainted the rooms, which were already nice. The beds are cozy and comfy!

Reviewed By fnchuckFamily stayed here during the St Patrick’s festival Shamrock has and it was clean and the people were friendly. For accommodations in Shamrock Tx, it is totally fine and way cheaper then the high prices you can pay for an outdated flag hotel.

And when we look up nearest places to stay first and best rated, all said blarny! Found it with ease! Staff was so pleasant and friendly! Rooms very comfortable and priced very responsible. We suggest it highly! Very clean and quiet! Great water pressure!

Quiet and Quaint Stay!
Reviewed By Valedc03lsI was very impressed of the location of this Motel 6 as Shamrock is very sweet. The area is very quiet in comparison with some Motel 6 locations! Being located off the original Route 66, the street has its sweet quirks. Sleeping was superb! The check-in staff was more friendlier than other hotels I've stayed in the past! Hardly a few folks stayed the night, which is very unusual in itself. I would highly recommend staying here for the night!

They definitely can do better
Reviewed By GeminicanThis hotel would have earned a 5 out of 5 if they change the following: 1) The front desk staff, Kaylin, could practice active listening rather than insisting following rules rigidly and inflexibly. 2) Cold shower 3) A hair found hiding behind liquid soap bottles - can do better job in looking around the corners and hidden places 4) Obvious bathtub has cracks need repairs 5) Water stain found on a nightstand 6) A crème and sugar bag was found open in the room The front desk manager, CC, did a great job. Poor service attitude, cold shower, hairs found together contributed to a 3 out 5 rating. I believe they can do much better than this and is capable of hitting 5 out of 5 if they can fix these items above. Please note that this hotel is undergoing through renovation, a temporary thing. It did not contribute negatively to my experience.
