Reviewed By emmalbertoThe location is fabulous, if you take a sea front room you are just in front of the sea, really nice. The hotel is noice, clean and comfortable. The pool is very nice, but a strange decision (we have been told due to the wind) has been made not to have any sun umbrellas, therefore there are no chances to be at the pool when sun is straight. A weak pint is the breakfast. There is no choice other than the type of coffee, absolutely nothing, no self service, just a standard jiuce-bread-croissant-industrial yogurt bough at the table, nothing else. No possibilities for lunch and dinner despite very large spaces in the hotel.

Reviewed By 56kristapWe booked Hotel L’Europe as it looked like a nice little hotel in the port. The description said our room was with a view and every picture in the selected room area showed a room with a port view. What we got instead was a room with a street view looking directly on the building in front - no view whatsoever, Not to mention the room lacked character and is very simple for the high price. We decided to speak to the hotel about feeling deceived from the room description and photos. The lady in charge got very defensive and said booking was completely incharge of that and they had nothing to do with it and held no responsibility on the matter. They said the photos were not chosen by them nor the description and everything was out of their hands; what we got was what we got period and she insisted again and again there was nothing they could or would do. Upon further expressing our low satisfaction she suggested we simply leave!!! Wonderful customer service if I’ve ever seen it....yuck! We do not recommend in any way this hotel. Avoid at all costs. Our hotel, situated directly by the sea, is a superb and quiet place surrounded by the greenery of the garden filled with beautifully scented flowers, palms and umbrella pines. It offers you 11 comfortable rooms and 15 suites surrounding the exotic patio and the golden fish pond. The real parenthesis of absolute calmness and serenity. The restaurant has been rewarded several times by numerous gastronomic guides.

Reviewed By ridgwayplLa Roya has it all - wonderful friendly and helpful staff, amazing views on the shore, lovely facilities on sand, lawn, and poolside. Extra points for the gardener who works hard keeping the roses and the grounds looking very nice. The dining was excellent. It was entirely relaxing. St Florent is a ten minute walk up the beach so there was always a little something to see in the town both day and evening. It feels so tucked away but is actually only a short ride from the airport - perfect even for a weekend.

Very average but not cheap

Something went wrong at check in and after check out we received a no show charge, even though we stayed that same night at the hotel. Walking distance to all restaurants in town which is very nice. Asked for an iron and was told that hotel doesn't offer one.

Friendly with good location
Reviewed By ToneLillWe enjoyed the family style hotel with very friendly staff. Located across the beach we could have our morning swim followed by shopping our breakfast at the bakery and market next door. To sit outside the room and eat, or enjoy a glass of wine in the evening is a treat. Easy walk into Saint Florent for dinner. The room had everything needed and was perfectly cleaned every day. In the hot summer, the aircondition was working well at night, still the ocean breeze cooled nicely in the morning so we could turn it off. Would love to come back to this hotel, it was our best stay during our trip to Corsica.
