Small and charming hostal in the town center of Riopar. We offer 10 well equiped rooms, some with air conditionning, others with fan, flat screen tv, free Wi-Fi in all the hostal. Breakfast is always included in the price.
A great place to stay
Reviewed By 221colinwWe went with friends to Riopar & stopped at La Rueda, the hotel was easy to find & we were greeted with a warm welcome. The hotel was clean & warm, the beds were very comfortable. The owner was very helpful & knowledgeable about the area. The breakfast was tremendous with plenty of choices. We had no trouble with parking & really enjoyed our stay, I would use this hotel again.

Reviewed By Gino VSpent one night here. Good hotel in a fantastic area. The sunrise in the morning was stunning. Simple room, easy to park the car, good breakfast in the morning. Wouldn't spend two weeks here but you can walk into the main part of the town and have dinner with the locals. Most of all : peace and quiet and a good night's sleep.

We hope our customers may feel at home during their stay with us. We do our best for the ecotourism. We are professionals. The building has been totally renovated in order to become into a competitive, actual and charming private enterprise. Ande here we are, this is the Hostal Rio Mundo The hostelry has been adapted as well for the disabled, there is an electric stair platform and so we offer a special room with private bathroom and wide doors for weelchairs. We offer a place to stay and accommodation to those who are moving along and those who are visiting the country's delightful atmosphere, and we'll do our best for you to know the surroundings and enjoy the terrific views of the valley and mountains. We are in the very heart of Riopar and very close to all the basic needs.
Good Stopover
Reviewed By pglinfoGood comfortable room. Central heating lovely. No bar or restaurant though there is a breakfast room for the morning meal. There is a resident lounge, but no fire lit when we visited. We also had to summon the proprietor/manager to gain access. There is a mobility stair lift to the first floor. Well located for restaurants, bars and convienience store. Parking outside, with restrictions on - I think a Thursday for the mercadillo. Good wifi. Breakfast was good, no hot food apart from toast. We stayed on a Sunday and found a pub in the town that didn't sell wine! However, one we did find provided nibbles with each glass. We dined on food cooked over wood on an open fire. Lovely. Rio Mundo waterfalls about 20 minutes drive and a little hike through the woods to the mouth of the river.

Reviewed By Vicent GWe have only been four days in Riópar Viejo, an old abandoned village, which has become a magical place thanks to the owner and other people who have seen the great value of this place. Pedro attend us excellently at all times and for all that we need, although we were the only customers these days. We talked about the needs and availability of ones and others, and everything went smoothly. The house is a perfect place in every way, no important detail missing him. And the landscapes and nature that surrounds this place is simply magnificent. It is an environment completely indispensable to those who like nature and mountains. Definitely recommend visiting Riópar Viejo, stay in these rural houses where full attention is guaranteed and taste magnificent dishes at la Tasca de Pedro. We will come back

Wonderful place!
Reviewed By tiago_fz6We stayed in Cabañas del Río Mundo for 2 nights from January 24 till the 26th, 2020. We loved it! When we arrived we were immediately greeted by some customers who had taken over most of the place. Shortly after, the owner, José Mari, came by and explained us that on that particular weekend a very large group of people rented lots of cabins and were staying like us for the weekend. We were a bit scared at first but then when he took us to our cabin (number 3) and far from the comotion (they were having a barbecue outside despite the uncertain weather) we rested and felt sure they wouldn't be bothering us. Which they didn't. So... The cabin was amazing. We wanted a 1 bedroom cabin but they were all taken and José Mari rented us a double bedroom with one of the rooms locked for the same price. Very nice from him. It was around 3-4ºC outside and the place was pre-heated to a nice temperature. The central heating works very effectively and the whole place was at about 22-23ºC. For 5 euros per day you can also ask for wood to light up the fireplace - which we did and it was fantastic. The cabin was clean, everything in it's place and the beds were comfortable. We didn't feel cold at any point. There's a stove, a microwave oven and enough kitchenware to cook your own food if you like. We didn't cook there anyways because the local restaurants aren't expensive and you can avoid the cooking and cleaning to have more time to enjoy the surroundings. Still on the meals, it's important to say that there's a nearby restaurant that delivers to your cabin whatever you want. We asked for their pizzas once and they were absolutely great. All this is very well explained to you upon arrival by José Mari. Also what to visit, how far it is and how much it costs is explained and there's a leaflet on the door with all of it for you to explore and lookup. Be prepared for the fireplace smell though. That's something that'll stuck onto you for quite a while after you leave - even if you don't light up your fireplace. I would strongly recommend this place for it's quietness and location.

Reviewed By rubenlA9682XQUna escapada con mi pareja y mi perro, decidimos venir aquí por que además de su excelentes comentarios, hay pocos lugares, donde no pongan impidimentos por nuestros perros. En todo momento súper simpáticos, jugando con nuestro perro. La casa todo lo que ponga aquí no se asemeja a lo que es en realidad. Más perfecto no puede ser, sin ninguna duda una casa donde la recomendaré a todo el mundo. Gente así de simpática y con este trato tan bonito, todo lo bueno que le pase es poco.
