Reviewed By 247marinavWe spent one night at the hotel on a cold misty night. Very particular atmosphere, between past and present. Confortable room. The dinner at the restaurant was excellent, the menu offered a variety of very astonishing dishes. One would not expect it at 2400 m above see level!

Functional Hotel
Reviewed By HanlucStayed here 2 nights including breakfast. Room was modern, very clean and functional. Kettle in room with tea sachets (no coffee). No shower gel (fortunately we had our own) but shampoo was available. Breakfast was the usual array of fresh fruit, bread, jams, cold cuts, cheese etc. but items often ran out and it took quite a while to be replenished although staff would be constantly walking past the buffet! Gave the impression they were either not interested or inexperienced. One member of staff at dinner, Katarina, stood out above all others. She was very friendly, kind, helpful and knowledgable. A credit to the hotel.

Wonderful place

Nice and clean rooms with plenty of space. spacious parking lot and a wonderful park. we enjoyed every moment of our stay. great breakfast buffet to enjoy as well as a really amazing restaurant (la perla). both are highly recommendable.

Great central location, still calm during night

The room was rather small and a little bit dark. Nevertheless we could sleep with open window during the night; super calm. Breakfast was good. Personal and service was very good.

Very good stay
Reviewed By 6rukMy wife and I booked 2 nights into this hotel begin of Nov 2020. we had a wonderfull stay: room was spacious and clean, WiFi very good, no noise. Also had a wellness area hat we could use, with sauna and steam bath. Breakfast was very good, and lots to choose from. They also have a restaurant that we can recommend. Would stay again. And yes, good location, close to the train station.

A real family feel
Reviewed By CranleystravelsWe spent 4 nights here in September 2014. The staff were very friendly and the meals good. They were very helpful with my Coeliac diet, getting in gluten free pasta and preparing it for me. The hotel is very clean and very easy to get to (the Bernina Railway stops right outside the front door). We had a room on the road side and were not bothered by any noise, in fact it was good to be awakened by the first train in the morning, to get our day off to a good start. We were there to trace some family history, but there is plenty to do in Valposchiavo, with a lovely walk around the lake again just a few steps from the hotel front door. Guests are also provided with a special card which enables train travel on some sections of the railway and entry to local museums free of charge. A good place to stay in this area and reasonably priced. Our only criticism is that the king-size bed, while comfortable was made up of 2 mattresses side by side with separate quilts. Hardly romantic.

Reviewed By Lindy GTravelling alone, on arrival the staff were very welcoming and even offerred me the choice of a double room even though I was a single. Plenty of smiles. The only difficulty was that no-one spoke more than a couple of words in English and I don't speak any Italian. This made commuication quite difficult as they couldn't understand my limited French or German either. Apart from the language barrier the room was very clean and the bed very comfortable and the staff did try very hard to understand me with no success! so I would still recommend staying here.

A comfortable stay
Reviewed By L0uise1958A lovely hotel in this beautiful region of Switzerland near Lake Poschiavo. Our hosts were wonderful and gave us a room with a lovely view. The room was spotless, the bathroom immaculate and the bedding very comfortable. The evening meal in the restaurant was really great and the service fast and friendly. There was a good selection for breakfast and the staff were more than happy to fill our thermos for us before leaving. If you are planning on exploring this lovely area this is a wonderful place to stay
